embarrassing question
kimberley wrote: besides kegels, how else can you stregthen those muscles? if i dont rush to the loo the second i have to go, it nearly comes out anyway!
Insanemomof3 replied: LOL I have no idea. Though, I peed myself the night before last just YELLING at the kids. I can't help you there, but you are not alone.
redchief replied: Any exercises that target the butt, lower abdomen and upper legs will also strengthen the voluntary sphincter muscles.
kimberley replied: isn't that the wrong end?? lol or are they connected? sorry i am biology challenged.
six_kids_at_28 replied: I just did the Kegels
MommyToAshley replied: I always heard Kegels are the best. If the kegels are not helping, trying holding them longer before releasing... does that make sense?
Edited to say: Ashley parked herself right on top of my bladder, no amount of excercise or anything else could help me... except giving birth. Hang in there!
redchief replied: I'm pretty sure we're talking about pelvic floor exercises? If so, what I said still goes.
I think perhaps I was a bit obtuse... sorry; lots of drama at home right now. Kegel exercises are the sript for your problem, but the other exercises I outlined are supporting. As you know no part of our bodies exists independently of the rest. Strengthening the muscles I said before strengthens the muscular support structure around the Kegel muscles. Unfortunately there is no weight lifting exercise for the Kegel muscles, for obvious reasons... they're kind of internal.
amynicole21 replied: Just kegels... and panty liners
kimberley replied: i was hoping to be rid of those products for a while lol... oh well, that's life. will try holding the kegels longer.
holley79 replied: I was actually thinking adult diapers. Annika is parked on my bladder. She thinks that it is her personal pillow. I have threatened to move my computer and phone to the bathroom.
I do the kegels and also was doing floor excersies before dr forbidded them.
kimberley replied: do you find it helps at all? i don't . this baby is gonna be a kick boxer
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Dunno....
I drank red raspbery leaf tea, still am.
Apparently, something in it helps strenghten the uterine muscles, and it makes contractions easier before, during and after.
holley79 replied:
I may have to give this a try.
