does your toddler want to pick out clothes?
ediep wrote: Jason never cared what he was wearing until recently. If I open his closet, he only wants to wear his cookie monster shirt and at pajama time he only wants Elmo pajamas. It cracks me up!! Unfortunately, he can't wear them everyday. I do have 2 pairs of Elmo pjs, but its funny to have to argue with a 2 year old.
Oh, and even funnier, If I put a striped or colored undershirt on him, he doesn't want to put clothes over it...he is so weird!
booey2 replied: Yup Thomas is like that. Just yesterday he decided to get himself dress and pulled out his PJ's and put them on himself. We weren't going anywhere yesterday so I left them on him, I really didn't have the heart to take them off him.
5littleladies replied: So far Brianna doesn't really care. Experience tells me to enjoy it while it lasts!
ammommy replied: Both kids do. Alec (the 3yo) actually has pretty good taste, too Today he picked out black cords and a red/black sweater after standing at his closet going "hmm....let's see". It was pretty cute.
Megan will just stand there shaking her head saying "nope, nope, nope" with each unacceptable choice. Thankfully, it's not a daily thing or else we would take 3 hours to get ready in the AM.
Kaitlin'smom replied: some days yes, she will pick out something to wear, r she will pick out her pj's mid you they dont alwys match but hay she is just gonna sleep in it, so who cares.
heck saturday she never got dressed stayed in her pj's all day DH got her up from her nap while I was at the grocery and by the time I got back she woudl have nothing to do with getting dressed...oh well
loveydad replied: UGH gosh darnit@ my computer sucks!
This is like the eighth post that's gotten lost. I posted this earlier.
tracy won't get dressed unless tav picks out her clothes. She won't leave the house unless her hair is done (by Tav) and she's dressed up.
aspenblue1 replied: Oh yes. Isabella picks out the coat she wants and what shoes she wants to wear. She also will tell me she wants to wear her jammies.
Josie83 replied: Cassie would wear a pair of scruffy dungarees every day if I let her. If Daddy's getting her ready that's what she does wear because he just says "yes darling of course" She's usually okay about putting on what iw ear unless she's feeling that way out . . . if you try and put her in a dress now she point blank refuses xx
coasterqueen replied: Oh that Jason is funny! So far Kylie doesn't really care either, thank goodness.
3_call_me_mama replied: That's too funny! Cameron is the same way! Only wnats to wear certain things (we have to hide the Elmo shirt cause it needs to be washed occassionally! LOL!) Jason sounds like such a little HAM!
JakesMommy replied:
At 18 months, Jake would ONLY wear Wiggles. He's lightening up now that he's getting "older" at the ripe old age of 2! I can almost put him in anything (unless he's in an especially Wiggly mood), but he WON'T wear a coat. We live in Florida, so at least it's not that often that he needs one, which is probably why he won't wear one. We're not used to being restricted by clothes down here!
MomToMany replied: I pick out Kayla & Hannah's clothes when we go somewhere, or I'd be scared of what Hannah might pick! There's no way I can dress her in some of the things she picks. When we are at home, I don't care what she wears! She's had some amazing outfits on!
dreamweaver82 replied: Angel does that at times but mostly she'll just want to wear Mike's or my clothing. Michael will get home from work and she'll point at his shirt. She asks for his shirt in such a cute way so Michael takes it off and she'll walk around the apartment all day wearing it saying "daddy's shirt".......it is soooo cute but i have a feeling that it might become a problem later on.
DansMom replied: Daniel has occasionally gotten obsessed with wearing a certain article of clothing every day---a Bob the Builder sweatshirt, for example. But that was short-lived. For a while I was letting him pick out pajamas, and he started with this game of not wanting any of them and saying no to all options, so I don't think he's ready for the responsibility Jason is so funny with the stripes!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Yes Claudia is starting to get like this too. She wants to pick her clothes out everyday now and she even goes into her drawer and pulls out the stuff she wants to wear. Boy does she ever come out with some wierd clothes combinations!
