do you still

Kaitlin'smom wrote: use your baby monitor?

I still use it at night, or if I have to go outside, or if I am showering while she is napping.

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif Yep, still using ours (for Kayla), but we would still use it even if she wasn't a baby. Its hard to hear the kids at night without it.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Only when we are outside. Their rooms are SO close to ours that we dont' need it anymore when they are sleeping. wink.gif

coasterqueen replied: Well since Kylie has been sleeping in our room again we don't then. But if she's sleeping in her room we definitely use it because her bedroom is clear across the other side of the house.

5littleladies replied: Yep-We use ours. We are on opposite sides of the house so it's nice to be able to hear what the kids are up to. happy.gif

alice&arik replied: I never had one. sad.gif I have those ears like a cat. I woke up all the time if I heard anything. And now I don't really need one. If he is in his room it sounds like he is right next to me because of the hardwood floors and lack of furniture everything just echos. rolling_smile.gif

ediep replied: OMG, I was just going topost this exact question......

yes, we still use ours

aspenblue1 replied: We still use ours.

TANNER'S MOM replied: Tanner is 6 and his room is the furthest from mine and I still use it. Just worry to much I guess. Not for any other reason then I want to hear him breathe!

Alice replied: Yes. The kids are upstairs and we're downstairs.

I also gave an old one to my mom when my dad entered hospice. It came in really handy; she didn't feel she needed to be within earshot-- she could go downstairs and cook dinner or relax a bit. It really did help.

loveydad replied: This is how bad we are.. We still have one in the TWIT'S room. They get up sleepwalking sometimes, they tend to wake up in the night. Tracy will get up several times in the night, I usually hear her and can talk to her through the monitor "whats wrong baby" "I want daddy!!" I can't resist that. She always gets to come sleep with me. If she doesn't mind competing with tav's belly!

paradisemommy replied: NOPE..but only because he's in OUR room all the time..in fact, he'll tell you that OUR room is actually HIS room. emlaugh.gif

BUT, if he were in his room - you can bet i'd still be using our monitor...i think i'd hide it somewhere and keep it there til he graduated high school!! ha ha ha. laugh.gif

Josie83 replied: No. I would be able to hear her wherever I was in the house, and if she wanted me she'd shout. I could pick up her crying if she was in the bedroom and we were downstairs and we just check on her a lot xx

Kirstenmumof3 replied: thumb.gif Yes we use it at night. thumb.gif

Boys r us replied: Yes we do still use ours, not really sure WHY though. I mean he's not in a crib anymore, so when he wakes up..he comes in our room automatically.
But we're downstairs and his bedroom is up, so I guess it's just a piece of mind thing.

atlantamomof2 replied: Yes, we still use ours for Joshua(12 months) for naps and bedtime until we come to bed ('cause he's still in our room). Then when we get in bed I turn off his and turn on Maggie's (4 1/2) We use the same parent unit for both of them-all we have to do is change the channel from A to B. Lucked out on that! biggrin.gif

hayleyzmom replied: I still use mine because our bedrooms are upstairs and when Hayley is upstairs sleeping, I want to by able to hear her if she is having any problems. The monitor is sitting on an end table and its always on. Its just became part of the living room decor. I guess I probably could get rid of it.

ctymom replied: yep....I use it when she is sleeping. But the stupid thing gets on my nerves b/c it goes all static sometimes. I cant figure out why.

loveydad replied:
The one in the twin's room is hidden! Those boys will turn it off if they know it's there, so I have to be sneaky. If they didn't sleep walk and wake up in the night, I wouldn't. I try not to listen to their conversations, but they're soo sweet.

The other night I was laying in my room trying to go to bed, and they started talking. I guess they were watching a movie in there (it was a saturday and they're allowed to watch tv before bed, I know, horrible, but they never have any problem going right to sleep afterwards or during) anyway, Kel was saying something about school, and Vincent goes "man, it's all stupid. School is stupid" and they got into a discussion about school and they sounded like adults! emlaugh.gif My goodness! I couldn't believe it. And everynight, I love to hear that little "Well night Vince." "Night Kel" It's ADORABLE. They used to tell each other "I yuv you brodder" when they were really young, but they do that so much anymore.
