Dh and I were members of Sams club a few years ago but we never renewed it because we hardly ever went there. I was thinking about joining again since we are getting back to the diapers, wipes, formula stage again soon. They sell those thing there for a good price. The main problem is that Sam's is about 9 miles form home and Costco is about 10 miles in another direction, Bj's is about 15 miles away. I don't know which to join. BJ's is the oly one that carries the nestle formula that I used for Jason, it was easy on his tummy and I figured that I'd use it for Emma too.

Anyway, if you belong to one of those clubs, which one? and do you like it?

Kaitlin'smom replied: We only have Sams around here and for a while both DH and I had memberships now just he does (his uncle pays for several family memebers to have it). We dont go often, but I do like stocking up on certain things.

Boo&BugsMom replied: We go to Sam's about once every other month. I find that with the daycare it is a huge help. I also have a business account so I can go during their special hours if need be. I think it comes in very handy for us.

Calimama replied: We got to Sam's.. when we remember. They repaired our tire for us.. for free since we had a membership so my DH loves it there.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: We have Sam's memberships, but we haven't gone in a while as the closest one is an hour away. I love getting my meat there - it saves tons of money. I also like to get stuff like frozen vegetables, flour, yeast and whatever other good food deals they have. Oh and diapers too.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Costco. We went this weekend...and how we managed to spend only 350$, I don't know. We usually get outta there with several hundred dollars worth of stuff...mostly food, but still.

We do most of our grocery shopping there, and usually only once a month. We even go back for milk and eggs, since they're cheaper too. Of course diapers and wipes...

We buy canned stuff by the case... and I like how there are usually double or triple the containers.. like 2 bottles of ketchp instead of just one... then it's easy for me to write off certain things for daycare... i just take half the individual amount or 1/3 or whatever... we buy snacks by the box loads, like Nutrigrain bars, breakfast bars, cheese and cracker sticks, etc etc... although the fruit there isn't as fresh as it could be, it goes by really quick at our house so it doesn't really matter...same with veggies...

We buy mostly all our "supplies" there too, for cleaning and such... with 5 kiddoes running around in the afternoons, there's lots of messes to clean up!

We usually get the higher membership, so tthat we get the 2% back. Last year we didnt' get as big a return, since we lived about 45 minutes from the closest Costco, but the year before, we got 204$ back... which paid for the 100$ membership. It doesn't seem like a lot, but that's 2% on 10200$ for the year.

We like Costco.

We tried buying in bulk in the past and just got sick of eating the same things over and over again. We do go there for big parties/camping trips, etc., though.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: All we have around here is Sam's club and it is about 45 minutes away. I am not a member, but my dad is. So we go a couple times a year with him and then just pay him. I like Sam's, but have never been to the other two.

CantWait replied: My mom works at Costco so I get a free membership. She shopped there once in a while but not often when we lived in Alberta. The closest one to here though is almost 2 hours away so needless to say we might go there in the spring and summer for a change or if we're down that way doing something special, but that's about it.

I love how thier gas is priced better than everywhere else. We also buy meat and stuff like that kind of thing. And occasionally some frozen stuff.

We shop at Sams and Costco about twice a month mostly to get snacks, food, meds, and gifts for the holidays. They have some really great prices and both are down the street from each other and are about 6 miles from the house.
