did you know - mothers intuition
J-rod wrote: did you all know what sex your baby was before anyone told you or you found out? kinda like the saying "a mother knows" i have wondered that and now really seriously because GF has been saying she feels like its a boy. i think its cool...i dont care either way...we want the baby, but she says her gut tells her we're having a boy.
guess we will know for sure in 13 days.
PrairieMom replied: I knew in my heart I was having a boy with my 1st preganncy, even tho I was really hoping for a girl. We didin't find out until the delivery room.
With this one I knew I was having a boy, but our U/S says girl. I still don't really believe it, I guess we will find out for sure in June!
salmndr007 replied: Intersting you ask. Jess knows in her gut that it is a boy. She just can't reffer to her wombmate as a "she". I guess we will find out March 13th for sure. I am happy either way. I really want a boy, but as long as there are 10 fingers, 10 toes, and a healthy bundle of joy, I really don't care what the sex is.
J-rod replied: i agree.
we will find out the 14th.
3xsthefun replied: I knew both times I was having a girl.
Everyone kept saying I was going have a boy when I was pregnant with Maegan. But she sure did prove them wrong. I had a feeling all along I was going have a girl.
mckayleesmom replied: I knew without a doubt with Mckaylee and with Russell I really really thought I was having another girl.
Bee_Kay replied: I knew I was having a girl the first time and a boy (later with US confirmation) with my second.
Mothers intuition.... there's something to it
3_call_me_mama replied: Yup. With both kid i knew from the day i got pregnant. (Thsi time though I'm not sure. i thkn it's a girl.. only time will tell. I keep having dreams that it si more than one too!!) But we'll see
Bee_Kay replied: When my daughter was over last night, we went into my bedroom to have some alone time and we talked about her pregnancy. She said she "feels" like it's a girl..... we'll (maybe) find out next month.
moped replied: Oh I knew all along it was a boy - Tom thought girl, but I knew i was right. I also know if I ever have anohter it will be a boy also!
Crystalina replied: I knew both times what I was having. I picked out a girls name for Izabella and my huband and I coulnd't come up with a boys name for anything. When I was pregnant with Evan it was the same thing. We found the boys name but could not find a girls we even liked. I wanted Evan to be a girl (because what the heck was I going to do with a boy) but I knew that he was going to be a boy just because of the name thing. I was right. We also named them the first name that we thought of. There was never a second choice or a list. Izabella was named after a character in the movie 'Mi Familia' and Evan was named after Evan Marriot, the first Joe Millonaire.
Kaitlin'smom replied: from the moment I learned I was PG I knew it was a girl, always knew I would have a daughter. The U/S confirmed but DH was still worried it might be a boy.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Not here. I just knew it was a boy both times.
Boys r us replied: I was wrong with both of mine. But honestly, I never really took much time to enlist the help of my intuition b/c I would except nothing short of a girl.. boy was I fooled TWO TIMES! With the next baby, I'm going to assume that I am having a boy from day 1, just to be safe!
holley79 replied: That's my birthday. (March 13th).
I felt that I was having a girl but was secretly hoping for a little boy. Please no one tell Annika. I was excited that it was a girl though.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yes, I do believe I 'knew' with all 3 kids... and I knew almost as soon as I was pg with all 3 kids too. Well - the first I suspected, but I had my AF still - and so I assumed I wasn't, even though I felt like I was.
ediep replied: nope, I had no idea until the U/S when I was preg with Jason
My2Beauties replied: I wanted a boy so bad with Hanna that I would have sweared it was a boy - but I was wrong So much for mother's intuition
mom21kid2dogs replied: I knew for certain that I was having a boy. Unfortunately, the ultrasound and later the birth proved that intuition theory to be wrong in our case. I was actally terrified about having a girl~now I can't imagine having a boy! Funny how life changes 'ya!!
NEWMOM05 replied: I thought for sure I was having a boy. Maybe becasue my mom and everyone else was so sure it was a boy. Also I had a dream. Apparently I ws wrong. I love my lil' girl so much and really always pictured myself with a girl first.
Peggy
MyLuvBugs replied: ya know the mind plays trick on ya when your PG. I was CERTAIN that I was having a boy when PG with Lorelei. Even with the first US and they said it looks like a girl, and Isaid NO it's a boy......But I got a healthy little girl instead.
Now with my best friend, she new from the moment she found out she was PG with her daughter that she was having a girl. The US tech said no it's a boy, and she said NO it's a girl, and sure enough....Girl.
I think the feelings we have are what we "want" to have born to us. Does that make sense? I wanted a boy the first time, but now I wouldn't change having a girl for the world.
MyLuvBugs replied: I swear it was ment to be that you two joined this site around the same time. You've got so much in common.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I knew that Brooke was a girl, but with Madison I had no feeling either way.
aspenblue1 replied: I knew with Isabella that she was a girls as soon as I was sure I was pregnant.
CosmetologyMommy replied: I wanted girl buy knew in my heart boy..........that is ok I love my sweetpea!
~~*Missi*~~ replied: umm no i even had them check to see if Sabrina grew a penis up until the day I delivered. I wanted a boy. Don't get me wrong I love Sabrina to death and wouldn't trade her now for the world. Chris and I thought a boy first would be easier. You know the big brother watching out for little sister LOL. So no mother knows here!
1lilpeanut2love replied: We thought we were having a boy at first. Other people thought we were having one too. We had like 5 sonograms and all along noone was for sure what we were having. The sonogram tech would say it looks like a girl but I wouldn't go out and buy all pink. You are never sure of what the sex of the baby is until it pops out. I know people who were told that they were having one sex and the baby comes out another sex. So you never know!!!!???!!!
luvmykids replied: With the twins I had no idea, until we got the u/s of course. But with Macie I knew right away it was going to be a girl, and I've successfully predicted 3 of my friends' since then.
Edward's Mommy replied: Funny you ask! I went to the doctor because I had taken 2 home pregnancy tests. Both were positive. So I got into the doctor who has been my doctor since I was born! She told me that I was for sure pregnant and she asked, "Do you have any feeling on what it's going to be?" And I said "I think it a boy" and she told me that 95% of moms pretty much know. On July 15 when he was born...I found out that I knew the whole time!
MamaJAM replied: With DD#1 I knew she _had_ to be a girl since I wanted so desperately to use the name I had chosen for her. (Great reasoning, right? ) With DD#2 and DD#3 - I hoped they were girls...but wasn't really "sure". DS#1 - I had a feeling he was a boy. DS#2 - I knew would be another boy.
Tylersmommy replied: With Tyler we wanted a girl at first but I knew it was a boy and sure enough. With this one we won't know for sure until it's born but I know it's gonna be another boy even though Dh wants a girl lol (just in case we have names picked out for both sexes )
2whippets replied: When my husband and I were talking about my due date, he nonchalantly announced it was going to be a girl. I asked him by what powers of logic he was coming to this conclusion and he simply said “All the girls in my family are born in March, it’s their ‘thing’ “. A couple of months into my pregnancy I had to have an amniocentesis and from that we found out that indeed, we were having a girl. It is strange; nearly all of the women in my husband’s family ARE born in March!
BAC'sMom replied: Sure did and still do.
J-rod replied: she keeps having dreams of babies. go figure.
she says she feels its a boy. so maybe we know for sure in 11 days.
im so excited...dont know how im gonna get thru these days
