I gotta wonder tho, at some point does it really matter if it gets any colder? The warning is frost bite in less than 10 minutes.

Our Lil' Family replied: Last night wasn't as cold for us as Tuesday night. Last night low was 31 Tues was 29. Today his is like 50 I think.

My2Beauties replied: It's 6 degrees outside, with wind chill feels like -10 degrees! Who ever heard of Arctic like weather in flippin Kentucky for pete's sakes! Can ya tell I'm not a fan of the cold??? It's getting even colder tonight, the low will be 3, yes 3. With wind chills in the negative teens - so glad I'm off work tomorrow. My nose hairs froze walking into work this morning.

yup. I always say, its not cold till your boogers freeze walking to the car.
They have promised us 40 degree weather next week. Compared to this, it will feel like summer! I guarantee, we will all be out in short sleeves working in our yards.

last night, I was talking on my cell phone and walking out of my hospital, and wasn't paying attention. the SECOND I opened the door in inhaled and my lungs immedieatley reacted. It just takes your breath away, and I started coughing. You can get frost bits in less than 10 minutes in this weather.

everything is frozen. Even things like the stuffing in your car seat, its hard when you sit down, like sitting on a block of ice, and your steering wheel freezes up so its really hard to steer. you have to let your car warm up for a bit before you can drive.

even with warming up my car, and having the heater on, plus mittens my thumbs were numb and stinging by the time I got home 15 minutes later.

I know, every time I would breath through my nose it just felt like ice piling up in there Oh and my eyes are very sensitive so walking into work from the cold they started to water and the tears literally froze on my face - I kid you not guys! It's so cold here. I hate booger freezing weather, we haven't had weather like this in a long time, I can't remember it getting this cold last year, but I don't like to remember winter temps too much anyways, I love my summer weather! I don't care if I sweat buckets.

our snow is frozen solid. its like living in a huge glacier. hopefully some of it will melt off next week.

Yeah it did that to me too this morning, it just took my breath and I have about a 30-35 mintue commute into work in the mornings, I froze the entire time and my heat was on FULL BLAST!!! They're saying temps in the 40's for us next week, that's sad when I'm looking forward to 40 degree weather! LOL!

MommyToAshley replied: It's around zero today but -10 with the wind chill. It's supposed to get colder though, the temp tomorrow is suppose to be -6 before the windchill. Brrrr!

Ashley's school had a two hour delay and I drove her to school this morning. I didn't want to let her wait outside for the bus in this weather. I drive her whenever the weather is questionable anyways. But, I had to let my car warm up for quite some time first, and I definitely turned on the heated seats.

A&A'smommy replied: I can see my breath when I walk outside it is WAY abnormal for us and its suppose to be in the teens tonight its 39 right now

~Roo'sMama~ replied: It was -26 when I got up this morning but now it's -20, windchill is about -30. I made the mistake of going out without gloves on when I went to get the carseats from the van this morning before Dh left for class, and in the 2 minutes I was out there I thought my hands were going to freeze off.

Next monday it's supposed to be around 32 above, and I'm really looking forward to being able to let the kids play outside - it will be perfect snowman making weather too. I just really hope it doesn't get warmer than that, because if the snow starts melting again and turns back to ice I'll be ticked. I have not sat through four blizzards this winter to just have it all melted and turned to ice!

I know the cold some of yall are experiencing is extreme, but have you ever experienced an Alabama summer? You might be longing for some snow after a week or two Seriously, a typical day in the summer (summer, for us, starts in flippin' MAY!) is HIGH 90's (at least) and humidity in the 80's or higher. It's the humidity that makes it so bad. I can't tell you the number of times I have left for work or school and was sweating before I could get into my car. You step out and it literally feels like a sauna. Schools don't have recess for half the summer around here because of the heat. So I detest our summers as much as you detest your winters. I'm thinking of moving to the northeast...

Swood75 replied: Well,I haven't been outside since this morning when I saw the kids off to school..(DH takes them for me.. )and it was cold then..It is supposed to get up to 42 today and down to the teens tonight then a high of 34 tomorrow and 14 tomorrow night..That is too cold for me especially if we don't have any snow to make it worth it..LOL

mom21kid2dogs replied: It's double digits here at 10 degrees! We just got back from 2 hours of sledding. Walking up that hill a million times kept me plenty warm The wind started picking up right as we left. O and her friends are in the backyard making a snowman right now!!!It's supposed to be colder tomorrow, though.

luvmykids replied: I have been complaining about how cold it's been here, but I'll stop now I don't know what the temps have been, I just know I've needed a jacket when I thought I wouldn't and the leather seats are ice cold in the truck when I take the kids to school.

Even on the morning we had inches of ice hanging off everything I didn't mind it too bad though, at least it wasn't inches of snow!

2 days ago it was 39 degrees celcius (102F). But I live in a different hemisphere than most of you. This summer has been surprisingly cool. It was nice to have a good hot day because it felt like summer.

tara do they delay or close school there when its that cold?
I guess if they did the kids might never graduate!

nope, no delays here. They do in the rural schools, but we are in the city, I don't know why that makes a difference for cold, but what ever. Rural schools have cancellations all the time, but its been a few years since the city schools have canceled. Usually its for ice on the roads, if it happens in the morning before the sand trucks can get out.

Today it is going to get up to 20!!!

Tomorrow it is going to be 55 outside and then drop to 29.

But according to the forecast Monday is going to be our worst day
we will be in the teens... . I am so calling in to work that day.
