confessions of a shop-a-holic

amynicole21 wrote: Why oh why are there always TONS of sales when I have no money to spend? sad.gif I just went to the mall for a bit of a walkaround in order to get my lazy butt out of the house. I didn't intend to really buy anything, just window shop ( rolleyes.gif ) But it seems that every single store at the mall is having a 50% off sale or some crazy can't-pass-up offers this week. I guess they are clearing out the summer stuff for back to school shopping. Gymboree, Children's Place, Gap, Bath and Body Works - all of them, taunting me with their low low prices wacko.gif

I managed to only spend about $20 somehow, though that was REALLY tough. DH is still going to be disappointed in me. I've done a lot of spending while out on mat. leave, and I'm not going to get another paycheck for another month! We've got to make what we have in the account stretch until then. unsure.gif

Somebody hand me a scratch off ticket! tongue.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I try to avoid the mall for this reason. When the business slows down and I have more time to spend, I seem to spend a lot more money along with it...LOL! Good for you for keeping it to $20, I think my DH would be proud, LOL.

mckayleesmom replied: I stay away too....and they always have sales when I don't have money. When I have money...I am cheap and won't spend it there..... wacko.gif

MissyKay2005 replied: I hate that too! All the great sales and no money! Then when you do have few extra( very rare) there are no decent sales on any where it seems. Not with what you want though....lol Glad you only spent $20. biggrin.gif

Sunflower04 replied: OH why did you mention a sale at Children's Place!! ohmy.gif Kidding but now I am alittle curious about what is on sale.

Boys r us replied: Oh Amy, I don't think our Dh is going to be disappointed in you!! I know my DH would be very proud of me for controlling myself like that!

Good Job Amy!!!! thumb.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
That is exactly what I do! laugh.gif

luvbug00 replied: Ohh mee too! I did that at the disney store I went in with a limit of 10 bucks I knew they were at their summer 50-75 % off so I wanted to get Mya a little treat. well I ended up with $60 worth of treats. sad.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yep, I've been at the mall twice already in two days. And I got myself some 3 for $10 soaps at B&B and a cute wedding outfit for Wil at Gymboree (although it wasn't on sale and I...gulp...spent $50 on one outfit!!), and I also got Wil and DH some shirts at Old Navy...those were a deal! Like three shirts for $12. And today I went to Target and bought myself a bathing suit...I'm nuts...but we're going on vacation tomorrow and in my mind, I needed it....LOL! rolling_smile.gif Sometimes you just have to I guess...but I know what you mean about no paycheck...haven't had one myself for almost a year now!

Josie83 replied: Amy . . . step away form the shopping trolley ;lol: xx

coasterqueen replied: LOL! I did a lot of this too. blush.gif Dh is so happy I'm going back to work next week because we have gone major negative with me being on maternity leave. blush.gif

amynicole21 replied:
