bumps on upper arms?
amynicole21 wrote: I don't know why, but I always seem to have bumpy skin on my upper arms. The bumps aren't really pimples, but you can sometimes squeeze them... sorry, TMI I am sure. Of course, I can't leave it alone so it's usually picked at and icky. Does anyone else have this issue? My skin is pretty good otherwise.
PrairieMom replied: Yeah! I just noticed it on mine too! on the back of my arms. Whats up with that?
Kaitlin'smom replied: me to, I did notice when I clense them with my face stuff it helpes and when I stopped its looking weird again.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: It's because of dry skin...I can't remember what it's called though. I will occasionally get them, Dh always has them. And that is the sign that I need to start putting lotion on the kids for a while. MAtt will get them on his legs and Katy on her arms.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Maddie has this real bad. Mine is minor compared to hers. I forget now exactly what I read or where I found the information, but I read that it means you are deficient in something. Sorry to be so vague. I will try to find that again for you.
luvmykids replied: I get it too, and even on my legs sometimes. I read that it's dryness and that using a glycolic acid toner and then lotion really speeds up them going away but I haven't tried it yet.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: DH gets it really bad and I used to have it, but ever since I've been using Cetaphil cleanser and then slathering on lotion after a shower, I've had less. I also use a natural sponge (like a sea sponge) in the shower to exfoliate. I've tried the scrubs, like the medicated apricot scrub, but they actually just irritate and dry out the skin. Oh, and yes, it's due to dryness, not oil. The more you pick, the worse they get too. I know this because DH and I are BIG time pickers...TMI...but I finally stopped the habit and noticed my skin getting much smoother. Glycolic cleansers will help. Or just plain hydroxy acid stuff will too.
Insanemomof3 replied: Does it get super itchy too? I have been having the same problem all over my arms and legs and it is driving me nuts.
amynicole21 replied: Nope, not itchy. Have you tried a hydrochortozone (sp?) cream? Sounds like a rash or something.
redchief replied: I've had them all my adult life. Still do. Other than having the same problem you have (picking at them) they're just kind of there.
luvmykids replied: Mine get itchy on my legs, really bad at night.
CantWait replied: Yup I have them and so does my friend. She went to the doctor about it, and he said they disappear the more sun you get.
