birthday goody bags
ediep wrote: would you give a goody bag to an infant? She will be only 4 weeks old at Jason's party and I am not even sure if my friend will bring her. There isn't anything in the bag that she could have.....I am putting crayons, puzzles, and homemade cokies.
would you give her a regular goody bag, skip her all together, or just get her something else, like a binky or rattle?
jem0622 replied: I wouldn't give her a thing. Honestly.
Guest replied: skip her, she wont know!
MommyToAshley replied: I would probably pick up a rattle or bib or something at the $1 store just as a nice gesture. (Our $1 store has all kinds of cute things for babies for only a $1) But, you could skip her and no one would notice or think anything of it. It's up to you.
KatieLeigh79 replied: Yup put a little bow on a dollar rattle, or toy as M2A said and just give her that (assuming you even want to be that kind) I did that with JR's party and we had 2 small children that were supposed to be there and didn't even show up, then 1 of the women totally forgot to even bring the rattle home...
A&A'smommy replied: I would give her something cute like M2A & Katieleigh suggested, just a little something to make her mommy feel special. Thats just me though...
kit_kats_mom replied: IMO, the mom is the one who deserves the goodies when the baby is 4 mo old. I'd bake up an extra batch of muffins or something & send them home with her so she doesn't have to cook. One thing that I received from a good friend when my DD was very small, was a cd that she made of her favorite lullibys. K still listens to that cd every night & I love it too.
Those are both inexpensive, easy ideas. Frankly, a $1 rattle may be pretty flimsy & the mom may not let her baby play with it anyway.
Good luck.
coasterqueen replied: Kylie's cousins always included her in the goodie bags! When she was an infant she'd get a rattle or a chew toy or a soft book or a bib or something. As she's gotten a bit older they've gotten her things that pertain more to her age. I know it cost my IL's more to give her something than the other kids that got goody bags but it always made Kylie and ME feel happy that they included her.
maliksmommy replied: If it were me going to the party with a 4 week old I probably wouldn't expect anything. My feelings definately wouldn't be hurt
Kaitlin'smom replied: me personally I would do something....either a small toy, bib, rattle...something to show I thougth of them to. But thats me
A&A'smommy replied: Those are some pretty cool ideas!
Kila replied: Personally, I would probably get something inexpensive at the store that would be suitable for her. Even though she wouldn't remember, I still would geel guilty not giving her anything. I'm such a sucker though.
ediep replied: thanks so much ladies....I found a bib that says I love my big sister....the older one is 2, and a bib that is really cute white with a bandana colored butterfly, and a cute teether. I am going to put it in the same gift bag that I am putting the other kids goodies in so she is included.
