appt. update

my2monkeyboys wrote: I had my 36 wk check up yesterday, and all looks great. His heart rate is still strong, and of course he is still quite active.
My cervix is still thick and closed, which I was hoping it would have started doing it's thing by now since I've been having so many contractions the last 4-5 days, but nope. So for now we're still planning on a Nov 18th delivery. Of course, if my water breaks or I start having contractions regularly then they'll go ahead and do it, but otherwise I've got another 2 1/2 weeks.
I've only gained 13 lbs so far, so I'm happy about that. I'm the exact same weight at the exact same point as I was with Will, but I started out about 10 lbs heavier this time. I'm hoping I'll actually weigh less when I have the baby than when I started out, but with my appetite being what it's been the last couple of weeks I doubt it!
I have another appt. Tuesday - I really hate this part - all these appointments! But, what do you do???
Anyway, just wanted to update you all.

your time is almost done..dont wish it away to fast, (easy for me to say) I miss that pregnant part...

and dont worry about the weight, I think I remember you saying you were going to bf? I lost 42 pounds bf ing with jake and never exercised one day...of course gained it all back with andrew..but thats another story.

my2monkeyboys replied: It's such a bittersweet feeling I have right now - I'm still loving the fact that it's just me and Waylon, but I'm also so miserable I'm ready to have him here with us, on the outside, too. Esp. since this will probably be our last I'm trying to enjoy this as much as possible... I know I'll miss him when he's gone.
I can't wait to see him though!!!

my2monkeyboys replied: Well my due date is actually the 26th, but we're doing a scheduled c-section on the 18th, as long as I don't go into labor before then. We both thought getting it done before Thanksgiving would be great - or at least I did - I want to be home for some turkey and dressing!!

My big thing was that I didn't want to be in the hospital and miss voting.

my2monkeyboys replied: I would hate to miss that myself! It's kind of nice when you can plan for these things, isn't it? Except, of course, that either of us could go into labor on our own at anytime, then we'd be at the mercy of nature!
