and the Bulls*** drags on. - stupid doctors (venting)

due_any_day wrote: i started my once every other day doctors visit today. the doctors did an ultrasound to see how maggie is doing. she's doing well but looks a little big for her age so they measured and guessed that again they were off about her due date so at the end of the week i am getting induced. my hospital usually waits about two weeks past due date to induce but since they're sure they're off on the due date again (buncha morons....i swear.) i'm getting induced on friday.

this is really frustrating. i mean i'm glad maggie will be here by the end of the week but geez! mad.gif i was trying to avoid induction and hopefully go naturally and since i am again still unchanged and the DR really isnt big on the idea of a "rough exam" to progress things a little bit.......grrrrr...*shakes fist at doctors*

i do not want to be induced. i've tried every safe home induction i know of (one i really enjoyed but DH had to go back to jersey for work so...there goes that.) i hate pineapple now. i've drunk my share of cumin tea (whoa...talk about nasty) i've walked the mall and my town so much i can do it backwards in my sleep blindfolded.

please all pray that maggie gets here soon because her due date change has me worried about all the stuff that could go wrong because of how late she is and i really dont need that......

My2Beauties replied: You know something I find odd, every one of my friends and family members that were pg and late a couple of days were told they were going to be induced if they didn't go by a certain day and it's like the baby hears it and says oh no and every single one of them went on their own! rolling_smile.gif Hopefully this happens to you, I'm sending ~~~~~COME OUT BABY VIBES~~~~~~~ and hoping that I can pass along this strange phenomenon with people I know.

I had one friend who had to be induced with her first child but that is because she had toxemia, she wasn't due yet!!!! So that doesn't count right?? unsure.gif

due_any_day replied:
well if it was because she had toxemia and it was for bigger health reasons than the baby is just late... then thats a different story...

thank you for the out baby vibes *hugs* how about some sanity come back ones too because i misplaced it.
didnt lose it entirely..about to though. silly.gif nuts.gif banana.gif banana.gif banghead.gif

yeah those emoticons sum it up

amynicole21 replied: Oh no sad.gif I'm sorry to hear that you may have to be induced. I hope that Maggie decides to make her grand entrance before then!

I hate how doctors always seem to think that due dates are the precise day that a baby should be born. Don't you think our bodies know when the baby should come out? And they are more often WRONG on their size predictions than right. dry.gif Sorry, my mini vent for the day rolleyes.gif

Hang in there, sweetie! Everything is going to work out just fine grouphug.gif

DansMom replied: Come on out Maggie!! Come on out!! soon.gif

My2Beauties replied:
Yeah they estimated Hanna to be really small only about 6 lbs and she weighed almost 8! They even gave me extra U/S because they thought I was measuring small!!! She is 11 mos and weighs almost 24 lbs, small my butt!!! rolleyes.gif

TylerJ1029 replied: Its your body and your baby I would tell the dr that unless there is harm to you or the baby that you do not want to be induced and you want the baby to come on her own. Plus the most accurite U/S is around 8 weeks. They get less accurite in deciding due date as the pregnancy gets later and later.

due_any_day replied: sometimes i wonder if my doctors didnt buy their degrees at yard sales

jolene555 replied: oh, i feel your pain. i wouldn't worry too terribly about being induced. i nearly prefer it. i am a huge worry wart, and having never been in labor before, i was so scared that something would be wrong and i wouldn't know. i felt safer knowing that she was on a moniter the entire time, and that i got that epidural as soon as possible. overall - i would definately rather be induced than wait until she was too big and tear a lot or need a c-section.

due_any_day replied: my take on c-sections is if its a last resort go for it but i want to steer clear of it.

at the same time if it gets her here safely and all, go for it....

kimberley replied: oh sweetie, i am so sorry you are still waiting. have you tried nipple stimulation? it worked for me to bring on contractions but they didn't stay regular. they got my edd wrong with Jade too and scared me into an induction. don't let them do that to you to. stand your ground or it will be one unnecessary intervention after another. when i was pg with James, they told me right up until an hour before he was born that he was going to be huge (8+lbs) and that he was a week late. he was 7lbs even and skin and bones. definitely not the looks of a huge overdue baby! rolleyes.gif until the figure out how to make see-through skin, remember that they are just guesstimating... it is nowhere near an exact science. rolleyes.gif sending lots of ~*~*~come out Maggie~*~*~ vibes. grouphug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: grouphug.gif

I hope that Maggie decides to come out and join the world soon!!! Hopefully you are at that hospital meeting her at this moment. But, if that isn't the case,

~~~~COME OUT BABY VIBES~~~~~~
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Oh I'm so sorry that you haven't had your baby yet! My girlfriend swears that Lipton Raspberry Iced Tea induced her labour! Not sure if you can buy that were you are, but it's worth a try! Also hot baths, spicy foods, castoral oil, long walks (sorry I know you've already tried this). I wish I knew of some other methods for you! I hope Maggie comes soon! grouphug.gif
coasterqueen replied: Ugh so sorry baby hasn't come yet. sad.gif Hopefully she'll come before the doctors have to intervene wink.gif. grouphug.gif
3xsthefun replied: I sure hope Maggie decides to come on so you won't have to be induced. sad.gif Kaitlynn was about a week late when the doctor told me on a Friday, that if I didn't have her by Tuesday he was going to induce me. Luckly she decided she was ready on that Sunday.
due_any_day replied: oh well...its just a huge waiting game right now.
my stepmom set me up for that "your pregnancy week-by-week" and seeing the one that said "Your baby is here!" really made me mad for whatever reason
Kaitlin'smom replied: guess she is just not ready to see you yet.......I have only heard bad things about being induced and they they so often end up in c-sections. Do whats best for you not them, if you feel you are ready (I am sure you are now) then go ahead but if it does not feel right then dont do it.
I hope she come soon.
due_any_day replied:
i've heard the same stuff. i'd prefer not to be induced but if it gets her here healthy and all then whatever. same with c-sections. as long as my baby is healthy and safe, they can do what it takes (after i've given it careful consideration)
booey2 replied:
Hang in there, I was induced with Matthew (my first) here is the link to his birthstory here :Matthew's Birthstory (he was induced)
