a women's favorite thang... - SHOPPING!!!
sparkys2boys wrote: Me and DH are going shopping tomorrow, he wants to get a new computer and I want a new livingroom set..lol. So, what's more important I ask him..lol?? I don't want to shell out the money for both, so what one do we get?? Let's take bets.. who wins on this one, me or him?? I'm holding out that if I sook enough I will win, he's saying that he will, and my mom says she will, that we will end up with both!!! It's to funny, we both have been online all day saying oh honey look at this one.. to funny!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: I side with you. I'd say go for the living room set.
sparkys2boys replied: me.. one point.. him.. nadda!!! Yahh!!!! We dont honestly need either.. but hey!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Do you know what you want to have (leather, cloth, sectional, etc), if you were to actually go for the furniture?
sparkys2boys replied: I honestly won't know until I see it. I am very visual and have to have it right in front of me. Crazy huh? I always was that way. I like leather but don't know if it's a great choice with the kids. It will go in the main livingroom that we are in all the time. I want something that will hold up to alot of use. Any suggestions?
DillsMommy replied: Obviously your computer works fine if your using it, right? So you must not be in desperate need of a new one, right? I say go with the living room set definitely!
C&K*s Mommie replied: We have leather, and love it. Everything about it was exactly what I wanted. A salesperson at a furniture store actually talked me out of leather for a time, because we have kids- and the worry that with the slightest puncture it would be ruined (even though you can purchase the warranty for such accidents). For us, it was a better investment to go with leather than to have cloth because the leather does not show stains. But the choice is yours. I am wierd too in many ways, so I understand about being visual.
sparkys2boys replied: So, ahve you had anything that you don't like about the leather? I was worried about the rips also. have you had any?
C&K*s Mommie replied: There was a hole (the size of what a ball point pen would do) in it, and we were worried about the hole spreading. It never did, and we forgot to get a leather repair kit for it, and just the other day I remembered it but the hole has not grown. Other than that, no there is nothing that I do not like about it. Easy to clean, no stains to report about, it has been nearly 2 years since we bought it.
sparkys2boys replied: OK, so now I don't we we get to go shopping today .. Logan is home sick today and my throat hurts too.. grrr.. maybe next time. And i was so wearing him down on the computer..lol!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: And this is why I love that I have both a formal living room and a family room/comp[uter room/playroom.... my expensive living room furniture is never touched by the kids... and the playroom furniture it really doesn't matter if it gets ruinede, it's mostly all secomd hand stuff...
sparkys2boys replied: We have the same thing, A "good" livingroom and a play/rec room also.. but we always end up in the "good" one..lol!! If I was smart I would take the tv out of this room and then we woudn't be there so much. But also our rec room is upstairs and if I am down in the kitchen etc the kids like to be down too. Oh well, it's only furniture!!
