Zander went to the dentist today - and she slipped with the drill

these are his baby teeth or his grown up teeth?
was it the dentist that did that? is there someone you can report them too? it seems pretty serious to me, its not like zander moved and it slipped. what if these were someone permanent teeth?
i really think there is something you should be able to do.

She sent her assistant out to tell me that she slipped, baby teeth are so soft and small that it went right through them. He has to go back up in August to get space retainers fitted.

He is doing okay, I feel bad for him, he loves apples, pears ect. and doesn't ever want them cut up and now he can't bite through them. He was asking me all morning why his teeth were gone

I don't even know if there is anything i can do, i had to sign papers before they started. He has speech problems already, I don't think this is going to help. Fortunately though, they were baby teeth.

How's Zander doing? I'd be furious and heart-broken, and I know it isn't very comforting, but at least it was his baby teeth and he'll eventually get his perm teeth in. Give him hugs for me.

Boo&BugsMom replied: I don't think I would go as far as sueing...sp? (accidents do happen), but I would definitly push for getting the visit and future ones caused by this visit for FREE! It's because of their slip up why he has to get the spacers. I hope none of it comes from your pocket.

I would talk to the office manager right away. Accidents do happen, but you wonder if this person has done it before. I really don't know what I would do...

Was this a pediatric dentist? You would think that they would know to be EXTRA careful. Especially with baby teeth being so fragile.

ZandersMama replied: He won't have permenant ones for awhile, he's not even 3 yet. It was a pediatric dental surgeon. I'm so angry. He cried today because he can't eat an apple without it being cut up.
