Zander is miserable :(

So now my boy is in horrible pain, he is more swollen then ever, and i dont know what to do. there is a small red mark on his penis, but not enough to cause all this. The hospital closest to me other then the one I was at is 40 minutes away and I don't have a car. Blahhhh, I feel so helpless and he is miserable.

Miranda1127 replied: can you call your pedi? my pedi has a answering service for off hour emergencies. i would call pedi and see what he/she thinks. if thats not an option than i would take the 40min drive. the penis is a sensitive area so that could explain the horrible pain. still not something i would want to let go especially if it is really swollen.

ZandersMama replied: Thanks everyone. He doesn't have a ped, the only way you can see a ped where I live is if the child has special needs. I'm trying to find a way to the other hospital, if I can't i'm going to bring him back in a shift change to see the next doc on call.

ZandersMama replied: The swelling has gone down a bit today. I found a tube of Fuciden that I had last month, and put some of that on it last nite and this morning. I am sure it's an infection.No more blood since then, i've been going with him everytime he goes to the bathroom. AND hes not crying anymore when he pees. Thank you everyone for your concern

sparkys2boys replied: Logan had this happen to and it was in infection that led us to having him circumsized at 6.. not fun. How old is he again? I ask because Logan's foreskin was very tightly attached thus giving him the infections. (Sorry if TMI here) anyways I would not live it at all, even if it seems like it id getting better. It will return and be worse each time if it is the same as what we dealt with. Good luck and KUP

ZandersMama replied: hes two and a half........i can get him into the doctor monday morning, trying to avoid the ER so i dont run into the same doc again.
