I just liked the name Ashley... no rhyme or reason for the name itself.

We named her after her grandfathers mother. Then there is Isaac. We just liked his name and chose it because it just fit him.

From when I was little I ALWAYS wanted to name my daugher Ashley Marie then my brother had a girl and they named her that I was soooo MAD!!!!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: We named our daughter Madeleine Estelle after my Nanie. Her name was Madgelene Estelle, but Scotty liked Madeleine better. We chose that name while we were dating. Before we were pg with either of our kids we went out of town and were sitting (in our car) in a parking lot. I looked over and saw an Ethan Allen furniture store and said "I like the name Ethan for a boy." Scotty said "Yeah, me too." 2 months later we were pg with Maddie. When we got pg with Ethan (5 years later) we decided to keep the name. His middle name is Scott (after his dad of course)

3xsthefun replied: Kaitlynn we were both looking through a baby name book and found the name. We both really liked it, he was wanting to name her Samantha but I didn't really care for it. Michelle is her middle name, Rob's sisters middle name is also Michelle so that is where we got that from.

Maegan- well we had a really hard time coming up with a name for her. We was going go with Erin but then I changed my mind. We went through I don't know how many names until we decided on her name. Marie is her middle name like mine.

When we were expecting her...we were going to name her Olivia Hunter Grace.....but I was reading a baby book and found out that Olivia was the number 1 name. I had mentioned Mckaylee to dh before...but he didn't say anything...so I thought it was a no go. Then when I told him Olivia was the number 1 name and he said " what about that McKaylee name"....So we changed it after all.


Russell...that was a fight and a half. We swore it was a girl and dh picked out the name Scotland....I liked Scottlynn better...so we compromised that way....but if it was a boy...he got to pick the name......and it was a boy.....Russell Nathaniel....2 names I despise...but I have to admit now that they fit him.

kit_kats_mom replied: Katherines name was narrowed down from our top 5 choices by our friends and family. They actually chose Taylor then Lauren then Katherine in that order. I really liked Taylor but it was too popular for a first name. So she was going to be Lauren Taylor but then I started dreaming about Cats and so we decided on Katherine Taylor.

Lauren was chosen because it was one of our top faves from the prior name poll and DH and I both really liked it.

Brice got his name because DH wanted it to be Brian like his but I really didn't want a jr. so Brice was close and we liked it. His middle name is Daniel after DH's grandpa who passed away and was a HUGE part of his life.

Alec bc I was tired of trying to come up with names that everyone approved of, so I appointed my friend to pick something when she was drunk at a bachelorette party, and that's what she came up with. Thank god it was a fairly tasteful name.

paradisemommy replied: Taven is a combination of Tammy and Stephen while his middle name is Makamae (hawaiian meaning precious) because that is the nickname dh's late grandma had given dh and it was always set in stone that our son would have that middle name.

Skyler Noelani is just the name that we narrowed it down to and liked for our daughter. fortunately, we pretty much agree on names..

and we already have #3's names picked out

Aron wanted to have her named after his sister jennifer. So we shortened it to make it jenna..Jennifers middle name is Lynn ans well as mine so we decided we would name her Lynn ...so that where the name came from.

Ariana Faith~ DH and I loved the name Ariana, and again it wasn't too popular. We thought Faith went well with Grace and we liked it.

Sofia Marie~ Marie is after DH's mom and when I was preggo I had a dream that I was having a baby girl and her name was Sofia, and DH liked it so that's what we named her.

Alexia Michelle~ Alexia comes from someone I knew growing up. A very special friend of mine. Michelle just went well with the same.

Brooklyn Elizabeth~ We loved Brooklyn, and Elizabeth is my middle name.

~KARA~ replied: Tatum Devon-Tatum came from the movie scream! when the girl goes up in the garage door, I felt her move for the first time. Devon-her middle name is the origional name I had picked out, so i just made it her middle name.

Maddison Lynn- Maddison was the only name we could aggree on and we used 2d's cause my moms name and fils name started with D. Lynn is my sister and sil's middle name.

Kaden Dale- Kaden is the boys name we had picked out for maddi and Dale was fil's first name.

And on the way to the hospital I said out loud..what about Tanner and he said oh I love that.. Sounds like a cowboy to me..

So he is Tanner Layne... Layne- Lane is after world famous bull rider Lane Frost.. who of course died while riding. When My DH had his rodeo accident and almost died Clyde and Elsye Frost came and did a benifit and raised money to pay for his surgery and hospital bill.. so we felt like it was the right thing to do!

Ryan Michael, My mom liked the name Ryan, and then Michael is our uncles middle name...

So we named him Miles which means merciful and soldier (and is also the name of an excellent jazz musician). Benjamin is Dh's first name and his dads first name and his grandpas first name. We decided to confuse everyone and put it in the middle. So his whole name means "merciful son of my right hand"- dh got "merciful son" tatooed on the inside of his right wrist.

My2Beauties replied: Gosh I think I have posted this before in another thread but DH and I had the hardest time naming Hanna. I'm sort of upset now because Hanna is so popular - but I like it anyways. I need to look up what it means because that was the main reason I picked it out. I'm gonna go online during my break and find it, but I wanted Olivia, Grace, or Ava and DH was so opposed to all those names, he said they sounded old-ladyish! No offense to anyone's children with those names because I love and adore those names - he is just silly! So he finally liked Hanna Marie. Come to find out Hanna was the second most popular girl name the year she was born. I also liked the name because in elementary school, I will never forget this girl for some reason, her name was Hannah (with the h on the end) and she was so pretty and so intelligent and I heard she ended up being like extremely intelligent and getting all these scholarships etc...she was just really talented, I thought she was so pretty so I named my daughter after her - no I'm not a psycho! LOL!

I want to name a boy if we ever have one after DH - Brian Ray! I think that is a cute name.

My2Beauties replied: OK Hanna means Goddess of Life, Hannah means grace of God. Weird the same name has two different meanings because of the different spellings.

CCTandME replied: Cailee Angeline. I got her 1st name from a story in Peoples magazine. 2 babies switched at birth. Kinda a sad story, but I loved the name. I was on my way back to NY from CO after my dad died when I read it. Oddly enough, she was conceived right when I got home. Angeline is from a dream I had about my dad while I was pregnant. In my dream I had twins, a boy and a girl. I was talking to my dad in my dream (although he was still dead in it). I asked what to name the girl and he said Angel. I wasn't crazy about Angel so I made it Angeline. Nobody likes her name until after they hear the story. Personally, I love it!!
Camryn Brielle. Didn't have any names that I absolutely loved. I was thinking Gabriella Kate, Paulina is a name I always liked. I just wasn't sure. I REALLY liked Brielle for a mn. I liked Camryn, but Bruce's moms maiden name was Cameron and I didn't want her to think I was naming my kid after her. Finally I said the hell with it. I like the name. Cailee wanted a bro or sis named Alex. I considered Camryn Alexa, but really wanted to use Brielle. So that's who she is. For the longest time Cailee told everybody her baby sister was Camryn Alexa Brielle.
Teagan Alexa. Well, you can guess where Alexa came from. I wanted an Irish name for her 1st name because my mom is 1/2 Irish. If she were a boy she would have been Evan Patrick because my moms mn is Patricia. I was going to name her Keelin Alexa. Right after she was born Bruce wasn't too crazy about Keelin. My mom brought me a baby name book and that was the 1st time I saw Teagan. I loved it! I gave him 3 choices Teagan, Keelin and some other name that was awful. He said he could live w/ Teagan. So Teagan she is.

My next child if a boy will be Zekeriah William (Zekeriah from the Bible and can be shortened to Zeke and WIlliam since it is my dad's middle name.

A girl will be Amithyst (I have always like it and am determined to name one of my daughters that. )

Kathryn Elizabeth- My middle name is Catherine and Lisa is a shortened form of Lisa then we flipped them

Matthew Vincent- Dh and FIL are both M. Vincent's FIL is Mark, Dh is Michael so Matthew was the only other M name we could think of then Vincent to follow Dh and FIL

For the 20 or so weeks that Matt was a girl her name was going to be Kassandra Ellen- my sister thought of it Ellen is my mom's middle name and she had been complaining about none of the grand kids having names from her family and the initials would be the same as Katy's
