I was her asst. manager.I never let her get away with any of it and we fought all the time, she is such a know it all but knows nothing!!!! Tis the season to be jolly!!!!!!!! I'm freakin happy!!!!!! Can ya tell..lol??

I haven't been laid off, but they did cut hours back so I now have Mondays off. I wasn't too happy about it at first, but now I love it. That's a whole extra entire day that I'm able to spend with Avery.

C&K*s Mommie replied: From my little understanding, unless you are a contracted employee in a legal contract-- you are an "at will" employee. Employers can fire without notice. But this is my simple understanding of it, it may be more extensive than just this.

OMG.. tooooo freakin funny!!! I wish you all could meet this old hag..lol!!! I wish her all the best when both of the stores have to close!!! HAHA!!! I soooo kept them both running and she resented me for it, the staff all hated her too. Two of them will probaly quit now that i'm not there!! Yahh!!!!

Grrrr. Nothing sucks more than being laid off over the holidays. I know, I know, you were going to leave anyway, but that's not the point. You could have left on your terms. If they hire another in the same position who isn't coming down from a higher management position you still have a pretty firm legal position, that the layoff was not due to not needing someone in the job, but in retaliation for her not being able to get along. Unfortunately at-will employees have little in the way of protection from old hag bosses.
