YIPPEEEE... we got a new puppy!!

Anyhow, wanted to share that. I will post post pics later. I have to go get her acclimated to the house. She even had her first bath a few minutes ago!!

Watch the show "The Dog Whisperer", which airs Fri nights at 8pm, and then is rerun several times throughout the week on the National Geographic channel. The guy, Cesar something, is completely amazing- he has books and dvds if you don't get cable. We're now addicted to his show- his dog training tips are right on the money.In less than a month we got our wild little pit bull mix to become an incredibly obedient, eager to please, well socialized dog. It's all because of this show. Check it out!

Daisymom2 replied: Nicole! Congrats on the new addition! You know, i'm 33 yrs old and only 6 months ago I got my first puppy ever. I chose a Brittany Spaniel, her name is Jessie. She's adorable and FINALLY house broke. The housebreaking was rough, trust me but she's 6 months old now and just absolutely a joy in our family. She's so spoiled. She sleeps with my dh, josh and I and she fights my 2 yr old for the spot right evbetween dh and I! I't hillarious!

C&K*s Mommie replied: Thanks everyone!! The girls are having a blast with a new pup around. They cannot keep their hands off of her!

We went to the county shelter after we found her, her sister and a few other pups at the Humane Society. The county shelter had only big full grown looking dogs. Chris had only one stipulation if we got a dog- it had to be a puppy when we got it. Dots sister reminded Chris of Taison because she was so active. Whereas Dots was timid, then became friendly with the girls, the longer we stayed to talk to the worker.

She is curled up at my feet right now. We hope to crate train her, too.

Jeanne: Thank you for the reccomendation, I will have to watch that. I will need all the help I can get.

Nadia: Trust me, this is all new to me again. We are going to do things differently with her, then we did with Taison. So I will be asking you many many many questions. Fair warning- Be prepared to get bombarded with a ton!!
