YIKES!

DillsMommy wrote: "breaking news" just came on to warn us of an ice storm headed our way. They are starting to let kids out of school early because of it. Wish me luck, I'm already a horrible driver, I hate driving in stuff like this. dry.gif

mom21kid2dogs replied: We're supposed to get it tonight/tomorrow. UGH. That means my daughter will have gone to school a total of 3 days in the last 10. sad.gif

sparkys2boys replied: Oh get in the hose and stay there then as soon as you can hug.gif Maybe it won;t get as bad as they are saying.

MyBabeMaddie replied: Where do you live?

Kentuckychick replied: Us too! We've got an apparently major ice storm headed toward the bluegrass area (which is Lexington and the surrounding counties) and they're letting all schools out really early today. They are saying it could be as bad as the storm we had a couple years ago and that is frightening. We lost a ton of trees, had no power for over a week and it was all around horrible. I'll never forget the experience and I hope to never go through that again so pray that it's not as bad as they are calling for.

I hope all of you stay safe!!!

DillsMommy replied:
Northern Kentucky.

Just got a call from Dylans teacher, they are letting them out at 11:30. Oh I hope it doesn't get too bad. When we moved into our house, last May-- our neighbors said whenever it snows bad, most of the houses around here lose power. GREAT!

DillsMommy replied: Tom just called to let me know he's on his way home from work now doing 15mph on the interstate. The mayor is shutting down the city of Louisville today at 2. This is crazy!

Calimama replied: Be careful!!! hug.gif hug.gif

mom21kid2dogs replied: It's just starting here (Ohio) as snow, now. we're supposed to get 2-4" of snow THEN freezing rain later on. It's snowing like crazy right now here!

bawoodsmall replied: I am sending power stay on vibes.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Me too!!! Stay warm. hug.gif

msoulz replied: Oh no - how are you doing?? Everyone all snug at home?

Kentuckychick replied: Still have power so far thank goodness. All of the schools called off early here but because the nursery I work in is in a hospital and mainly used for staff we will always be open. Luckily all of our kids were gone by 3:30 and I was able to make it home while the roads were still relatively calm.

I had to scrape my windows before driving though (my windshield twice in the time I was heating my car) and everything is a sheet of ice now so we're hunkering down and hoping the worst is gone. I don't think it's been as bad so far as they thought it would be but it's supposed to get worse through the night and then melt quickly tomorrow as the temps warm.

luvmykids replied:
I hate driving in winter weather too, and basically refuse to unless its life or death laugh.gif

I hope it's not as bad as they predict, stay warm and safe hug.gif hug.gif

3xsthefun replied: Ugh..we are suppose to getting freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning. dry.gif

HuskerMom replied: Be careful! I think I'd rather have snow than ice.

austins mom replied: well i hope everyone is safe and warm
