Wow! It looks like a snowglobe out!!
MomToMany wrote: It's snowing really hard here right now (northern Minnesota)! It looks SOOO pretty!! I tried taking pictures, but they didn't turn out. It really does look like a snowglobe that someone shook up! Hannah and Ethan are watching it fall; they love it!
Just wanted to share!
kimberley replied: you can have our snow too lol i can't stand the stuff! sounds pretty though. the kids must love it
Kaitlin'smom replied: aww I would not mind a nice snowfall, its so dreary looking out there, some snow would make it more like winter for me. I hope we do get some decent snow so i can put Kaitlin in her snow sutie that she finally fits and take her out in it.....
5littleladies replied: I'm so jealous!! We barely have a dusting here in south central MN. I figure if it has to be cold out I should at least have a good helping of snow to go with it.
jen replied: It hardly ever snows in TEXAS!!! HA! Maybe 3/4 of an inch every 3 years! ha ha! I remember 2 years ago it snowed and I was watching these kids build a foot high snowman! It was hilarious! That is all they had to work with!!! It was cute!! and the snowman was brown from all the mud mixed in! When it snows at all even a flurry NO ONE goes to work b/c it is considered so hazardous! LOL! I am originally from IL so I know what snow is supposed to look like!
coasterqueen replied: I would love some snow. We haven't had much of any here this year in central IL. I want like 2 ft! Hehehehe.
I bet it is pretty
CantWait replied: Snowed overnight here too, and I just let the dog out and it's snowing again....gosh and I never got to clean the yard
MomToMany replied: UGH! I just read the forecast! It's going to be -20 to -25 F and wind gusts of 30 MPH or higher. That makes the windchill about -60 to -80 F!! The kids might not have school tomorrow !
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Sorry-I had to laugh! They might not have school tomorrow? We would definetly be out of school.
It is nice here in Dallas. It isn't too windy nor too cold. It is about 40-50 degrees now and the sun is shining It is supposed to get colder with freezing rain and some snow, but I'm not looking for that to happen. We usually get our big snow in March...if you want to call it that. I'm glad our winter has been mild this year. Of course compared to you guys' winter it is always mild. TeeHee.
How long does winter normally last up there? When can you expect no snow and warmer days?
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I think I would take some snow over all of the rain we have been having lately. I don't know if I would be able to go out in it seeing as I'm freezing in 40 degree weather. Living in Florida for half my life and now Hawaii has thinned my blood out considerably. My DH told me that we might go to Alaska next. I won't be going outside....ever.
MomToMany replied: LOL, you're kidding, right??? Winter here is from September or October til about May or June. That's when you can finally stop wearing a coat and the snow is finally gone. J/K! It's not quite that bad. But May or June is when the ground finally dries up and there's no mud.
It's a wonderful life up here !!
MommyToAshley replied: BRRRRRR! Now that is COLD!
However, the snow sounds pretty.
5littleladies replied: Yep-Cold down here too. Not quite that bad, I think they said -40 F windchillfor our area , but still. BRRRR!!!!!!!
MomToMany replied: LOL, 40 degrees would be a heat wave for us right now!! I can't wait until it's 40 degrees again !!
I've always wanted to go to Alaska. DH has some relatives up there, and he used to live up there for awhile. It would be nice to take a trip up there someday, but it would be a LONG time from now !
It's probably warmer in Alaska right now than it is here . It's not a big frozen state; there's LOTS to see and do. I hope you enjoy your trip up there and go outside. Just pack some long-johns and you will be fine !
booey2 replied: Okay, did you break that snow-globe and shake it all over Toronto Canada because I swear that's what it looks like here too and it won't stop til tonight. Yahoo. At least it has warmed up to about -9. Our rink is finally starting to fill in and we might be skating by Sunday.
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
LOL! I had no idea!!! I would never survive. I think it got up to 70 degrees today. It was absolutely gorgeous. You would probably burn up! LOL!
