Wow. - Breast milk.
PrairieMom wrote: I have been BF and pumping at the advice of my lactation consultant to boost my supply since I have a tendancy to loose my supply early. Well, Charlie is 16 days old, its been about 2 weeks since my milk came in, and I just did the math. I have pumped 1 1/2 GALLONS of milk so far. That means that I have probably produced about 3 Gallons total. Give or take, since I don't really know how much he is getting. Thats a LOT of milk! I had to move it from my freezer down to my deep freeze because my freezer was getting to full. So, I was counting the bags, and did the math. Holy Moo cow! I just hope I can keep it up.
coasterqueen replied: That's great news, Tara. Think positive and hopefully you do continue to keep it up. Sounds like you have an eater (or maybe a snacker) on your hands this time.
kimberley replied: good job!!
PrairieMom replied: Oh don't even get me started on "nibbler" I was so annoyed last night. I totally don't mind getting up in the night to BF, its just a bit much when he will only eat for 5 minutes, the sacks back out till I lay him down... vicious cycle. Something was definitely bugging him.
Add to that Al's bed peeing, and leg cramps, I need a nap. like thats gonna happen.
coasterqueen replied: That's why I coslept. Kylie ate 24/7 and my husband would agree. We tried the getting back up and putting her to bed, but I couldn't cope and working all day with no sleep just wasn't going to happen. Things were a ton better once we coslept. Now, it's so weird because since I coslept for so long with my babies, I can't stand them in my bed now. I need room, I can't have them smother me. I feel terrible about it.
PrairieMom replied: we have been kind of co sleeping a bit, mainly from 2-5 in the morning. He won't have anything do to with his bassinet at that time. Last night he would have none of it tho. I think me may have been gassy or something. Something was definitely bothering him.
DH had the nerve to complain about his sleep tho. He said, " I got All of 2 hours sleep last night..." Yeah? well, those would be the 2 hours I took the baby down to the basement so he COULD get some sleep. Your welcome.
kimberley replied: our husbands should go bowling, Tara!!
Karen, i feel the same way about my older kids too! the odd time one is sick or upset and sleeps in my bed i am up all night due to giant arms and cement legs kicking me all night. never mind the half a foot of bed they leave me cuz they sleep like starfish and then they grind their teeth! ahhhH!
Calimama replied: That's awesome!!!!
kit_kats_mom replied: Growth Spurt? I know I had a few nights like that with Kat and once I figured out that they coincided with the timing for growth spurts, I felt a little better...at least it ends...even though at 3 am, it may seem like it never will. :-)
CantWait replied: Wow, not like you feel like a cow or anything...can't wait
Mama~Love replied: LOL, that's awesome Tara! I've thought about the amount of milk I've produed over the years, and it's probably enough to fill a tanker truck! I've never pumped, so I have no real idea how much I've made.
My3LilMonkeys replied: Good for you!!!!
