World Trade Center - movie
mckayleesmom wrote: I have a friend that saw it and she said it was Excellent and they did a great job on the movie....From the sounds of it...they mainly focus on the last group of cops that was sent in and The last 2 survivors ever found in the wreckage.
When she told me about it...I recalled an article I read the other day...I believe these are the heros that they based the movie around

gr33n3y3z replied: another tragedy to make money off of If its not about the money I want to see all the stars donate ALL the monies made off the movie. I will not see it that is a day I would just not have to relook at.
holley79 replied: I don't want to relive that day, that's for sure.
I heard somewhere the proceeds were going to something. I jsut can't remember where.
angieclayton replied: I have heard some good things about the film. My concern is Oliver Stone....he so conspiracy!
I can see the point about not wanting to relive that day....how horrible.

redchief replied: I relive that day everyday. I won't go to see the movie.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I would like to see the movie. Likely here in my own home, but I want to see it. I appreciate the commendation that one of the survivors said about the movie, and Oliver Stone, and how he said that if the story is not told now from him and the other person the movie is based around, then this particular part of the story may never be told accurately many years from now.
My2Beauties replied: I think they are donating the proceeds to some type of fund that has to deal with the families of those who perished in the WTC attacks or something, I saw a story on it the other day. I think the movie is probably done in good taste but I could understand how some, especially those who were so close to the attacks or who knew someone that it affected, would not want to see the movie. I probably won't see it only because I would bawl my eyes out the entire time and leave the theater looking like a blubbering idiot.
5littleladies replied: I saw it on Wednesday. I thought is was amazingly done and such a touching story about the survival of those two men. There is no conspiracy at all-It is truly about the two officers-Their experience and rescue. I didn't feel like I was watching a movie-I felt like I was watching history. If you do have a desire to see it I highly recommend it.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I'm not against the making of the movie at all, but it just doesn't seem like a movie I'd enjoy. Not my type of movie I think. I'd see it if hubby wants to, otherwise, we probably wont see it. I'm such a teary-eyed bauler I'd probably cry so much anyhow.
MyLuvBugs replied: I don't think I can see that movie yet. I just don't feel emotionally ready to see it. The images of those planes crashing into the buildings and the building falling....I just don't think I'm ready yet.... I could barely watch the tv movie made on the Flight 57 heroes....
Jackie012007 replied: I kinda wanna see it but I'd make a total A#S out of myself in the theatre... Ive been super emotional lately and I can't even watch a cheezy Lifetime movie without blubbering. I'd like to rent it when it comes out
jcc64 replied: The timing of the release of this movie, with what's been going on with the thwarted liquid bomb attacks, is unfortunate to say the least. It's not far enough in the past, and it never will be, b/c terrorism is here to stay.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I don't think I'll be able to get through this movie. I was born on Long Island so I saw those towers many times and to this day the site of that smoke and the chaos. I just can't. I have not been back to the city since before 9/11 so in my mind those towers are still standing even though I know they aren't.
MommyToAshley replied: We went to see the movie tonight. I have to agree that the movie is very well done and does not exploit what happened on that day. The story of these two men is so real. It's a very emotional and sobering movie, almost to the point that it is overwhelming. I felt everything from fear and sorrow to hope and joy for the families of these two men.
I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone that hasn't seen it yet, but I am still in awe of the story of the marine. If that isn't a testament of faith, I don't know what is.
I highly recommend the movie, it gets from me. But be prepared to be moved by the whole experience.
luvmykids replied: I saw guys who it is mainly about on TV (I think it was 2 of them?) and they were so pleased to have another angle told and thought the film was very tasteful.
I don't know that I'll see it, I can't even see footage from 9/11 without bursting into tears.
