With all this hair talk - Shampoo/conditioners ??
moped wrote: I am a self declared hair product snob, ever since I made my own money I cannot buy it in a drug store or wal mart, it HAS to be from a salon........hoenslty I am not sure why but I believe it is better and only a salon can really sell the professional stuff. So what kind do you use and where do you buy it?
Monica knows that I use the Nano when I am feeling crazy at a CRAZY price per bottle, to the tune of $100 for shampoo alone. I DO NOT buy it all the time, just a couple times...........
mckayleesmom replied: I like the infusium's new like...About 5 bucks a bottle, but it has one called Repairology that works good and right now I have the one for frizzy hair and it works decent too.
My2Beauties replied: WOW $100! I use different shampoos, I've heard using the same one all the time can build up residue in your hair. I try to use Herbal Essences, right now I'm using Charles Worthington, ColorVive, Tres Semme, etc...anything that is fairly cheap and smells good I can't use Suave though, it makes my hair soooo tangly for some reason. Sucks becuse Suave is cheap. Oh and I can't use White Rain or Pert or any of that other stuff either. It has to be like something in the mid range between $5-8 per bottle. I used to use Pantene a lot but I heard from someone on hair that Pantene is really bad for your hair, so I don't use it anymore
jem0622 replied: I do not use expensive shampoo. But I also don't pay big bucks for a hair cut either. I use Loreal Fructis or Pantene. Works for me.
I used Clairol Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Curls and Waves on my girls b/c they have naturally curly hair. Poor Olivia is a mess if I don't use it!
lisar replied: I use Infusiom 23 (sp?)
mom21kid2dogs replied: We only use Suave coconut shampoo and conditioner. Keeps those bugs away
CantWait replied: I'm the same way for that reason. If I use the same one all the time, my hair feels dirty and oily.
moped replied: Very true - you should switch it up for that very reason.......I find every couple weeks I put the old one int eh drawer for a while and bring out a new one for a couple weeks etc
mckayleesmom replied: I switch off too....If I don't my hair feels oily and my scalp itches. I usually use head and shoulders every couple days to mix it up.
moped replied: I think I have 4 different ones on the go right now
luvmykids replied: You know the Nano is my aaaaall time favorite, but I did really like the Hempz too. Lately I've been using Biolage but I feel like it's drying my hair out. I love the smell though
moped replied: Oh I just got biolage and really like it!!!!!!!
I am glad you like HEMPZ......I knew you would
HuskerMom replied: I use biolage sometimes too. But I usually only get it when the huge bottles are on sale because they last me awhile. Other than that I use Redken.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: This is what we use! And we only use the coconut kind now ever since you posted that the bugs dont like it!! Sometimes I get Dove but not very often.
Brias3 replied: I mix it up too. A couple of my favorites are Biolage, Bumble and Bumble, Halo, and ISO. The Matrix line as a whole is pretty good too. One of my favorite shampoos for color-treated is Pureology's Serious Colour Care.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I use Dove mostly because my hair behaves well when I use it. Really though I'll use any cheapish brand except for Suave cause it makes my hair incredibly frizzy.
ZandersMama replied: I love dove, but i dont buy it much because it is 5$ a bottle, on the rack next to 3$ bottles. im so cheap! lol
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I have to switch often, too. I'm allergic to "cheap" shampoo. I know that sounds silly, but it's true.
The last time I bought shampoo I was short on money, so I tried the new Infusium line that Brianne was talking about...except I got moisturology. I really like it a lot. My hair was SO dry and unmanageable before I started using it.
Otherwise, I use Redken, Bumble and Bumble, Biolage...or any of the salon stuff, really. My cousin does my hair and discounts it for me (or just gives it to me.)
