Wii=FUN

Kaitlin'smom wrote: So my crazy (being said with LOVE) DH when he found out I was interested in a Wii he went on a mission to get one, he hear rumors that stores were holding them back till the 17th well he managed to confirm. So he got up at 3am and went and got in line to Target who opened at 8am, short story he got one (wooohoo). We got to play it a bit list night we did the bowling together and that was FUN. I am a bit sore from the lunges I was doing. laugh.gif (on incase you dont know the Wii is very interactive and you actaully have to do the moves of the game being played) I bet DH 2 games in a row thumb.gif first game 149 to 86 laugh.gif poor thing had a wicked curve to the left, second game I thought I was going to lose but won it in the last frame with 2 strikes 159 to 148 thumb.gif

jcc64 replied: Well, you did better than we did. Dh got on line at Target here at 4am, and they only had 15 of them.
They ran out 3 people in front of him. My mom got on line at her local Best Buy- she was 60th in a line of 130 people- many of whom had been there since the night before (!) She also didn't get one. All those great online links everyone posted for me last week didn't pan out. Alas, we have given up. No more stores around here will be getting any before the holiday. My poor 11 yo ds will not be getting one this Christmas- and it's the only thing he asked for. The quest was complete, utter insanity, but we tried.
Glad it paid off for you guys though, and that you're enjoying it!

coasterqueen replied: Sounds fun! I want to get one but I think I'm going to wait until all the chaos settles down. happy.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: oh I am sorry, yours did not work out. DH and some friends went to the area around here where they were more likly to get one. they were 7, 8, 9 in line and were told they had 15. What about getting a controller and a few games with a note saying as soon as more are avaiable you will get him one? I know its not the same but maybe he will understand when you explain how hard your tired to get one.....

jem0622 replied: It's unfortunate that they are not limiting buyers to one console since they know that the supply and demand aren't equal. I've had the chance to buy one off of someone but I want to pay the regular price of the console and get one game for DH. I'll wait until they are available. I am hoping that I like the Wii more with the new features.

The upside to waiting is that we know we will get the revised strap so that we don't kill our TVs! Or windows! biggrin.gif

luvmykids replied: We have a game system called Xavix that is similar only you really have to swing a bat or roll a bowling ball instead of the handheld controller....I want to try the wii though because I think it's got a lot more games but boy those games are fun emlaugh.gif

Glad you got one, Christmas is for big kids too rolling_smile.gif

redplaydoh replied: I've never heard of Wii...
When I first saw Wii in your post I thought....

Hmm... a puppy potty training device. emlaugh.gif

CantWait replied: Glad you got one Di. You might want to look up, a lot of the Wii controllers have been recalled because of them pooping out.

Have fun.

TheOaf66 replied: it does look very interesting, you probably want to wait until all the recalls are done anyways. I just read today about how they are recalling the remotes because the wrist straps are breaking and going through peoples windows and TV's or hitting actual people, so bear that in mind. Hope you get one eventually though for the people who didn't.

holley79 replied: I think we will pass. emlaugh.gif Glad you got one though.

grapfruit replied: My friends bought one for their son for Christmas. And needless to say it's yet to be wrapped. emlaugh.gif When he's not around it comes out for the adults to "test". I agree, SUPER fun! And it really brings the entire family together, because you can all have fun cheering each other on. Unfortuantlly they were unable to find a second controller. I can't wait until they do so we can play tennis or something against each other emlaugh.gif

Calimama replied: No video game is worth me being up at 4 am. tongue.gif

sparkys2boys replied: they are the hot thing this season for sure!! Hope you have a blast with it!!

My3LilMonkeys replied: My DH camped at Best Buy all night long to get one on Sat night - I haven't tried it yet but he loves it.
