Why oh WHY did I teach my kids - to turn off the lights?
luvmykids wrote: I *thought* I was being a good mom teaching my kids to turn out the lights when they aren't in the room Now they are the light patrol and I'm sitting here in the dark because they turn off every light I turn on. I'm taking a shower, someone turns the light off. I'm reading a book, lights out. Guess I didn't make it clear that if someone is using the room the lights can be ON
cameragirl21 replied: sorry but LOL! that's like a scene from a horror movie--you're in the shower and suddenly it's lights out...you can almost hear the "Psycho" music. Lol, well, consider that they're saving you money on the electric bills....
My3LilMonkeys replied: Brooke is the exact opposite - her new fear of the dark is making her walk around the house turning lights ON....my electric bill will be through the roof!
mom2my2cuties replied: Andy is ok with lights UNTIL she gets tired...Then she must go through turning EVERYTHING off...including the computers regardless if you are using it or not. Gotta go off and she grabs her blanket and curls up and says "I'm Tarred Mom".
ETA - And when she says she is "tarred" she says it like someone saying I am going to Tar and Feather you and so each time I am thinking - if only I COULD tar and feather her some days
A&A'smommy replied: kids are so funny!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: kids... give them an inch by teaching them right, they take a mile by showing you right way too.
MoonMama replied: Sorry hun.
CantWait replied: Too funny. Anthony is the oppisite, he likes to turn them on.
TheOaf66 replied: well saves on energy anyways
holley79 replied: Annika loves light swtiches.
Kaitlin'smom replied: kids are funny. Kait used to LOVE to truen out the lights, not so much anymore. I hvae to remind her sometimes. I seem to be the only one to turn them off... maybe I could train one of the cats.
