mummy2girls wrote: its going to be 30 below 0 tonight. I went out to make sre my car was plugged in and walking to the car and back my fingers froze. I feel so sorry for homeless poeple when it gets this cold.BRRRRRR

A&A'smommy replied: ugh its 60 degrees here yuck i wish we would have a real winter!!! wanna trade places lol rolling_smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied: snow sucks....I hate snow.

MomToMany replied: I know what that's like! Saturday morning it was -36 F here. Now we are getting a blizzard (and not from Dairy Queen!), with a total of a foot or more through today. Right now, it looks like the worst has missed us, but we will see tonight smile.gif .

amynicole21 replied: LOL! I was complaining that it got down into the 40s her in FLA this weekend! Sorry guys blush.gif

JennasMommy, do you have a gas/electric hybrid car? How does it do in the cold?

DansMom replied: Every time I complain about how cold it is here in Michigan, I think about all you mommies to the north and count my blessings! I'm just staying indoors as much as possible. Daniel wants to walk around outside and doesn't seem to feel the cold at all. But I can't tolerate it.

mummy2girls replied:
my car is doing ok. This morning though it almost didnt start. but after a bit of coaxing it did. UGH!!!!

kimberley replied:
LOL my sentiments exactly!! thumb.gif rolling_smile.gif

mummy2girls replied: the snow doesnt really bother me (to a point) the deep freeze temps is what irritates me..right now with the wind chill it is 45 below zero..UGH!Im getting a car starter instaled into my car after my pay day on friday! Because during the night and cold temps my car will start up and run for a bit every couple hours. so by the time i get into my car in the morning ill be toasty warm. And then i can stay indoor s to start my car in the morning..YEAH!

chloe&tysmommy replied: I was just going to post the same thing!

Ugh...its -45 here right now..yuck! I feel so bad for my dh who has to work outside all day, I'm so glad I get to stay in the house now laugh.gif Before I had Chloe I had to help him do chores all day even if it was freezing out...I don't miss that at all laugh.gif

Hope it warms up soon! It is getting down in the 20s tonight here. Yesterday it was 70 degrees. I wish we would atleast have some steady temps to ward off some of the sickness. Ugh! I can't imagine it being 30 below zero. What is that like? I don't think I would survive. emlaugh.gif

~Daddytobe~ replied:
it can get brutal....

MomToMany replied:
Well, when you first go outside, your nose hairs immediately freeze up and start sticking to the inside of your nose. You yell and curse about how cold it is, then hurry up and run to the garage (heated!) carrying Hannah who is covered in blankets and holding Ethan's hand so he doesn't fall down.

Seriously, though, it's really bad. If you don't have all your skin covered up, it will freeze in a matter of minutes. DH always tries to put his freezing cold hands on my neck when he comes in rolleyes.gif , but he hasn't succeeded yet. I've been putting tights on Hannah under her clothes because her pants always ride up on her legs, so they are always covered by something.

Be so glad you don't have to experience this! Our water pipes have froze once in the master bath, because its right along the outside wall on the west end of the house. It gets SO cold in there sometimes!

It's going to stay cold for the rest of the week, so hopefully it will warm up next week (maybe get to 0* F, and stay there for awhile???).
