Which do you think is best? - Vote for your favorite Diaper Cream

Daniels Mommy wrote: We have all of those listed. But my absolute FAVORITE is Boudreaux's Butt Paste! That stuff cleared up my son's diaper rash in two days flat!! And he NEVER gets them, but he did from something he ate....bought that stuff and it was the best $4 I've spent on him!

For regular diaper changes we put Desitin Creamy or J&J 3-in-1 on him.

MomToMany replied: I really don't use diaper rash cream, so I didn't vote. I haven't heard of some of that stuff before.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Desitin Creamy is really good. It has a nice scent, wipes pf easy, and clears up diaper rash really quickly. I have used Balmex as well.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I dont swear by one but the A&D is what the hospital gave us and it works well for us. I have also used J&J but it was not as good for us. thankfully Kait has not gotten but a few rashes

Daniels Mommy replied: Well, I thought I voted for Boudreaux's...but it's not showing up!

So for those of you who don't use a cream at all, do you not put a cream on when you put a diaper on? (As a barrier cream)

mammag replied: I don't use it either. I just use powder with each change and he doesn't seem to get them. My other kids very rarely did and if they did I switched to medicated powder and it cleared it right up.

jdkjd replied: We used to use Desitin creamy but our daycare lady said that the Regular works faster, and we've found her statement to be right on target!

coasterqueen replied:
I'm a vote for the Bourdeax's Butt paste! thumb.gif We haven't had to use diaper cream very often but when we did I liked the butt paste for sure!

When we put Kylie in big girl undies she started getting some kind of rash and it really helped!

FroggyJK replied: My favorite used to be A&D Ointment............... until I discovered Boudreaux's Butt Paste!!!! I love that stuff!

Edit: I voted for Boudreaux's Butt Paste but it didn't show up!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: We love the Butt Paste smile.gif
It clears everything up but the Nystatin rashes

ediep replied: we use desitin regular, but when the rash was really bad once, Jays doc gave us triple paste, it worked very well

Mommy2BAK replied: ARRBONE Herbal Daiper Rash Cream! I swear by it!! You have to buy it from a Independent Consultant.

booey2 replied: I voted other because we use regular old Vaseline during regular changes and if a rash appeared we use Penetene and I even have used it on rashes on other parts of the body and it does wonders for burns, dry skin, scrapes, heat rashes you name I used it there. rolling_smile.gif

MomToMany replied: I don't use anything because it would stain my cloth diapers. And they hardly ever get a rash in cloth anyway thumb.gif wub.gif .

Another thing I use is liquid Mylanta antacid. I soak a piece of fleece and lay it on top of the diaper. Clears up any rash in no time!

Daniels Mommy replied: That is really, really interesting....mylanta huh??

loveydad replied: I voted for A and D because thats what I've been using for every diaper change (we go through that stuff like crazy) but Carter's had a bad one so I picked up some of that butt paste stuff today- have yet to see if it works smile.gif

alice&arik replied: I use Regular Desitin. I think it works great. The creamy stuff comes off in the diaper to easy. I liked the triple paste I got from the doc too. Arik gets a little red every so often, I don't buy it except for every 4 or 5 months. Sometimes he gets these nasty diapers that make you wonder how bad his tummy hurt before it came out. EEEEWWWW!!! happy.gif Days like that I am glad I still have the diaper cream around! thumb.gif

Daniels Mommy replied: loveydad, best wishes for that rash to clear up!! BTW if it doesn't clear up in a couple of days it could be a yeast infection and the best stuff for that is Lotrimin AF. Seriously.

And I love your avatar, btw!!! smile.gif

D'OH~

loveydad replied: Thanks! I appreciate the help!

loveydad replied: Thanks! I appreciate the help!

I love my avatar! The Simpsons is SO funny!

paradisemommy replied: we always used the desitin creamy but he got some really bad rashes and i started putting plain old cornstarch on him and that worked liked a charm. he hardly gets them anymore but when i saw the butt paste on oprah..i had to go run out and get some!!! but their website lists a whole list of things that stuff clears up!! so i'm excited to try it out!!! thumb.gif

MomToMany replied:
thumb.gif Yep, works great!

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley didnt get diaper rashes much, but if she started to get even the hint of one then I would put a little aquaphor on her bum. I love that stuff, it works great for everything!

CCTandME replied: Just plain old powder here. My girls never really got the really bad daiper rash. Thank God! I try to let them air dry as much as possible, then use powder. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Daniels Mommy replied: I use cornstarch based powder on ds too! I usually let him air dry as much as possible by blowing on his bobo....otherwise he pees on me! rolling_smile.gif

bucky replied: is it bad to say i don't know? we have diaper cream in about 3 different places in our home, just use whats within reach and all seem to work. Then again he's never really had bad diaper rash, so I think we're lucky there.

loveydad replied: I used the butt paste stuff on Peter, and it's working great!

Daniels Mommy replied: Good to know!!!

I think ds had something today or yesterday that didn't set well with him and he's got a little rash tonight and a little redness under his scrotum. I put the butt paste on so we'll see what it looks like in the morning!!! emlaugh.gif

loveydad replied: Aww I hope he feels better tommrow. hope it's gone. He's such a cutie!

ctymom replied: The only one that works on my daughter, who gets HORRIBLE rashes, is Balmex. It costs about $12 for a tub but it lasts for a long time. It's really great.

Pamela

Daniels Mommy replied: Today I discovered that the Aveeno we have has water in it! When I tried to put it on ds's bobo it was chunky and clumpy....does that mean it's gone bad?

akbutterfly83 replied: I voted on the boudreaux's butt paste, cause I tryed balmex, for 3 days, and it didn't do anything for the rash, so I tryed the butt paste, and it started to clear up after a day..... and I'm on my second day of using it, and his rash is almost gone...... it's the best stuff I've tryed...
