Where is everyone at???

maliksmommy wrote: Just curious as to where everyone lives? I am in Kansas City, Missouri. Where's everyone else at?

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I'm in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada).

I was born in Germany, in Lahr (my dad was stationned on the Canadian military base)

I grew up in Petawawa and Borden (more Canadian Military bases) and I came to live in Ottawa at 10 years old, been here since.

ashade75 replied: Boring DAYTON OHIO~~ Where it is sunny M-F and Rains all weekend long!!!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Maybe you should write to your mayor and ask that work days be switched... sat - wed for work, and Thurdsay and Friday off! lol!

at least then you,d get a sunny weekend...

5littleladies replied: I'm in Northfield, MN (about 1 hr. south of the Twin Cities). Today it is about 40 degrees, Monday it was 90. wacko.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: Huber Heights, Ohio (america's largest community of brick homes)

Hillbilly Housewife replied:

supermom replied: Pittsburg, Kansas where it was wonderfully sunny and warm last weekend but stormed and rained here yesterday which really cooled it off - supposed to be 80 tomorrow tho!

Originally I am from San Jose California, but moved to Kansas over 20 years ago, so I almost feel like a native Kansan <oh, scary thought>

dolfinrse replied: I'm from NJ.

dhoppygirl replied: I'm from the great big city of Boise, ID
I was born in Colorado and lived in Montana for a while....

CantWait replied: I live in Edmonton, Ab. I'm originally from Toronto, Ont, but have also lived in Petawawa, Ont and Gagetown, N.B. just a few military bases.

Are you a military wife Zach's Mom or somehow affiliated with the military.

Military Wife here wacko.gif

Cal&Camsmom replied: I'm in SUNNY sunflower.gif southern California! Although it's actually been raining this week! It's hard to have a 7 yr. old on spring vacation & a 6 week old baby in the house when it's raining...lol Poor kid! I feel so bad for him!

maestra replied: Phoenix, Arizona here! It's been so warm, we've had the airconditioning on for 3 weeks now. High summer power bills, here we come!

CantWait replied: Ack iamwithstupid.gif I just re read this post and realized I missed it.

MomToMany replied: wavey.gif Hi all! I live in wonderful north-central Minnesota in the huge town of Effie (pop. 92) rolling_smile.gif !! I've lived in Minnesota my whole life.

thumb.gif "Yeah, you betcha!" as spoken in Minnesotan!; our reply to everything!

booey2 replied:
Hi Tessa, have you always lived in Cambridge, the reason I asked is that I grew up there and was just curious. wavey.gif

ashade75 replied:
Wow!! Did you realize your family makes up 6% of the population!! NOW thats a number!! In my town it's more like .01% hehe. wink.gif

I have always wanted to live either in the country or small home town. Maybe someday! sad.gif

MomToMany replied:
blush.gif Thank goodness it's a SMALL town!

thumb.gif I LOVE living in the country! It's SO peaceful and quiet; plus you get to see a lot of wildlife. We always have deer in our yard (DH has to restrain himself from shooting them sometimes. He's the big hunter/fisherman type!).

We're 3 miles from "downtown"; a gas station, the Effie Cafe which MIL owns & cooks for, the bar, and 3 churches! That's pretty much it smile.gif .

jdkjd replied:
Come on down!! I'm sure with all of my family within 20 miles I'll be able to put everyone up. But watch out, my mom has a tendency to hog babies! biggrin.gif

And no, until I win the lottery I can't help with the tickets. tongue.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Nope.... my dad was in the military... I moved to Ottawa with my mom and my brother when my parents split up.... but now, DH's dad is working for DND on the civil side, since he's retired, and his bro is just south of Kuwait at the moment. Other than that, no military for me!

ashade75 replied:
WOW!!!

I would love to experience that life. We go fishing at a lake north of where we live. It usually takes about 2 hours to get there. Everytime we make the drive, DH and I pick out our future home (hehe) (Just for fun).

Last time I picked this beautiful log cabin with a cow farm. I dont know anything about cows but I was willing to give it a try (hehe). DH picked out this little farm with a tiny home cookin resturaunt on the corner.

Someday I hope to move to the country. I love having a large garden and the country air, and the darkness and quiet at night. I wasnt meant to be a city girl.

booey2 replied:
Wow you sure did move around, I guess we wouldn't know each other then because I have been in Toronto now for almost 15 years. I still go back and visit cause I have tons of family there. My grandmother started up a real estate company ages ago and it is still going strong.
Take care. wavey.gif
