Where do some people get their information?
coasterqueen wrote: This article really cracks me up. While I get teh author is trying to tell mothers that you aren't told everything you should be when you begin to BF, she is quite negative in some aspects maybe shying some away from BF. Also, some of her information is so out there, like breastmilk souring due to thrush. OMG, where did she get her information? Well at least I got a good laugh out of the article!
Also, I never knew that nipples turn from pink to brown because of BF. Never heard of that one.

aspenblue1 replied: It always amazes me on the information people come up with.
A&A'smommy replied: WOW very interesting.. sounds like she tried hard to nurse but she is also making it sound horrible!!
coasterqueen replied: Yeah, I think her intentions were well, but just a bit inaccurate in some details.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: tmi ahead...
My nips turned a brown color
coasterqueen replied: Did they really?
I know areolas do with pg, but I've never heard of nips turning brown. (Ahem, as Karen looks down her shirt at hers while at work hoping no one is looking )
ammommy replied: Mine did, too.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: mine too
3_call_me_mama replied: Mine too
coasterqueen replied: Wow, glad mine didn't.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Mine are the same color.
Like you were all dying to know that
amynicole21 replied: I think it's from hormones, not from nursing... just a pregnancy related change... Mine are petal pink still
Jamison'smama replied: good grief Karen---how many of us did you get to look down our shirts --mine are still pink-
coasterqueen replied: Glad to know I'm not the only one with pink ones.
I didn't know the conversation was going to steer in this direction.
supermom replied: Now I KNOW I've been missing out on some good conversations - I personally think it's a combo of hormones and age - doesn't have a thing to do with BF (JMHO)
kimberley replied: that is too funny!! mine have always been brown but i agree with Bev on age & hormones, not bf
~Roo'sMama~ replied: LOL -- luckily I'm at home where no one could see me.
Mine are still pink but the areolas are brownish, and they used to be pink. But they turned while I was pg.
ediep replied: I have no idea about BF at all but I wated to jump in to say to Supermom
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: just wanted to add mine are pink again, only brown until I stopped bf'ing
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I disagree - I'm only 23!!!!!!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Mine have been brown since getting pg with zach. They never turned pink since.
kimberley replied: but you have gone thru many hormones being pg
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well I think the article may have been meant to be taken light-hearted or at least that's how I read it (JMO), but the part about thrush and sour milk, just plain silly. Reminded me of the Girlfriends Guide to PG book, totally not factual, but funny! You guys know I'm PG, so I don't need to look down my shirt to tell you what color they are right now! Mine are definitely more brown since having Wil.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: And how!!
so.... if I become less bit**y, my nips will be pink again?
holley79 replied: LOL
Mine have stayed pink. I just checked to make sure my statement was accurate.
