When's the last time you went out... - without the kid(s)?

When was the last time you went somewhere without the kids? I'm talking about, somewhere fun that you wanted to do. (and grocery shopping doesn't count)


And what did you do when you got out?

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I went to a baby shower this morning. Before that...last month???

C&K*s Mommie replied: Mardi Gras weekend (this past Sunday), we went out. We went to the beach to BBQ with some friends, did a little shopping/browsing, went to a club across the way with some friends, then later we picked up our girls then went to dinner after that with another couple and their daughter.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: The last time I went out without my kids, was on our anniversary in December. We went to eat and some other places. It was nice being alone with DH and having dinner in peace and quiet.

My parents will be here in a couple of weeks and they are going to watch the kids while we go to dinner and a movie. I can't wait! It's been a long time since we've eaten at a nice restaurant without the kiddos.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I went to the gym alone today while DH watched the girls. It was fabulous!! I usually go in the morning and I'm kinda tried and blah. It was nice to go in the afternoon when I could really concentrate on the me time and keep going if I felt like it instead of stopping after 1/2 hour becuase I needed to get to work.

Momof3inMe replied: I went this afternoon to get my hair done. It was so nice to sit and chat with another women and to have my hair washed.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: DH and I went out on February 15, during my week in Thunder bay, to celebrate Valentines Day a day late. It was really nice to be alone, without the kids.

kit_kats_mom replied: Our anniversary on New Years Eve. We just went to a movie. Nothing big. We rarely get to go out since we don't have family nearby and we don't have a great sitter who we trust for long. We have an awesome teenager who loves K but she has a hard time with both kids for long periods of time.

If one of our family members comes to visit, we will often go out for dinner or a movie but I honestly can't say when the last time I went out without a kid and got my party on.

MamaJAM replied: Well - tonight DH and I went out...with DD#1 (close to 'no kids' but not quite there).

We're actually going out kid-free on Tues - we have eye doc appointments and both need new glasses.
