When do you shower? - SAHMs

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I shower every other day since it's so dry here in Colorado, but I typically will shower in the morning when Wil is awake. I just close the gates on the stairs and let him either play in his room or mine. Or I turn on the tv in our room. I sometimes will take one when he's napping in the afternoon, but by that time, I'm usually okay being grubby and wait until the next day...loL!

ilovemybaby replied: I do that too... let Abby play in the sitting room. It is as childproof as it can get. Nothing dangerous or small lying around. But I still wonder if I should let her or not. I always feel bad when I do because I take 15 minute showers. If I don't hear her I'm calling out to see what she is doing. I keep thinking she would be better off in her room.
She is always fine. But she makes a big mess HAHA.
I can't wait till she's older and she can watch TV quietly.

kayla's mama replied: I try to get a shower in when Kayla is sleeping....if I don't then I wait til Jason gets home from work

5littleladies replied: I usually try to wait until Jas gets home-That way I'm less likely to be disturbed. Otherwise I hop in while Lissa is sleeping.

Momof3inMe replied: If I am home for the day I shower during nap time. If I am going out for the day then I shower before DH goes to work.

When my babies were babies I used to drag the excersaucer in the bathroom with me or the pack and play would be put in front of the door. I was so scared to let them out of my site even to shower and with DH's job he's be gone days at a time and I HAD to shower.

Things are easier now. I take one while they are sleeping. They can sleep through anything AND they sleep until about 10:30 or 11:00. I jump in really early and even though she's almost 5 and he's 2 I still turn on the baby moniter. They both still sleep in my room ( in their own toddler beds) so I only have to listen to one room.

kit_kats_mom replied: I can't really wake up unless I'm showered. Plus it's Florida and we get hot and sticky. If it's not a gym day, I put Lauren in the playpen and turn on Peep. Both girls will sit quietly and watch that until I'm done. I also leave the doors open so I can hear if I need to come out. I know I shouldn't ever leave them unattended but frankly, if I didn't then I'd have to get up at 4:30 to shower since DH leaves at 5 plus when I get up so does Lauren. That just sounds like the makings for a baaaaad day

If it's a gym day I just shower there.

Edward's Mommy replied: Whenever I get a chance!!! With Edward of course, he doesn't nap long enough for me to shower and DH won't be nice and watch so I can!

Heather77 replied: It depends.... as of right now I don't have an infant, so I can pretty much shower when I want. Normally it's either mid morning, or late at night after the kids are asleep.

Kated replied: I shower at night. I work then go to the gym and/or barn so I get kinda stinky. I try to shower at least hour before bed so my hair can dry.

luvmykids replied: Just depends on the day, I prefer to do it in the morning before everyone is up but if I can't I do it at night ... sometimes then I do a bubble bath instead.

paradisemommy replied: i shower at night right after i get the kids down - skyler will usually give me *just* enough time to shower (little power nap) so that i can pick her up and sleep with her the rest of the night...taven sleeps through anything

Momtoatween&teen replied: Unless I'm cleaning house after I take the kids to school, I shower in the morning.....I have to shower everyday to feel alive and fresh.

In the summer I sometimes take two showers, one in the morning and one after swimming.

PrairieMom replied: If I go out i shower around 9 ish in the morning, but if i stay home I don't get one until about 3 when The Boy wakes up from his nap.

MamaJAM replied: Most of the time I take a shower before DH leaves in the morning.
But - on days like today when I overslept and my father took the girls to school for me.....I'll grab a shower mid-morning (after the boys are done eating) - I'll just put the boys in their room to play.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I try to take a shower while Andrew's napping, but if I have to take one while he's awake I bring his walker in the bathroom. I hate doing that though because he usually whines the whole time.
