When do they go back to school?

MyLilAngel replied: MommyToAshley and A&A'smommy, when did their last school year end? They are going back way early. School usually ends in June. Did the kids only have half of June and the month of July off?

5littleladies replied: I was planning on starting Sept. 2nd but just realized I scheduled my 1 hr glucose tolerance test for that day so I'm thinking of waiting until the 3rd. It's no fun starting school when the first day is going to be all broken up!

lesliesmom replied: Mine start Sept. 2nd. Last year they started the week before Labor Day and were out by mid-May. I liked that, but this year the board decided to go back after Labor Day.

Ashley got out the end of May last year... I don't remember the actual date, around the 22nd or 23rd. I'd rather they get out in June and then go back in September, but obviously, I don't have a say in the matter.

Kaitlin'smom replied: Kaitlin starts K on the 25th, the rest of the district starts the 20th the K teachers get the first 3 days to met with all the parents and kids one-on-one so we can fill paperwork out and they do her assesment then.

Ah... I knew the public schools started this week, so I thought Kaitlin started today. I was going to ask how her first day went, but now I will have to wait a week to find out.
