When do the terrible 2's - start?

moped wrote: I was just wondering because the last 2 days I have seen a glimmer of an attitude with Jack - when does it all start?

A&A'smommy replied: START? lol when does it end no I'm j/k Alyssa goes in spurts she will be crazy driving mommy crazy for a couple of days and then she will be an angel for a couple of days dunno.gif she is almost two and I don't think she has actually had the "terrible twos" yet anway rolleyes.gif emlaugh.gif

moped replied: Well the other day we walked to the park - which is 5 houses down the street and I was holding his hand and he ripped his hand away and just wanted to RUN FORREST RUN............so I run after him and hold his hand again, I am pretty firm with things, I don't change my mind with him. If I say NO to somehting it stays no, not a maybe.

Anyways, he was not going to hold me hand, so I picked him up and he didn't like that either - being the big bully that I am we turned around and went back home - NO PARK TODAY

Insanemomof3 replied: Both my kids started it right around 18 months. Tristan is almost 4 and he STILL isn't over it, especially today. blush.gif

Mom2Boyz replied: Conner started around 16 months I think, and is still going strong wacko.gif
When we go somewhere, he doesn't want me to carry him, but doesn't want to hold my hand either. So normally I end up carrying a screaming kid blush.gif When we go to the grocery store, he'll throw a screaming fit because he doesn't want to ride in the cart, but he's not old enough for me to let him walk. So I have to strap him in and he usually screams most of the way through the store.
And things aren't any better at home!!! If he doesn't get what he wants, he'll throw himself down on the floor and kick and scream!!! When he first started doing it, I would try to stop him, and that just made it worse. So now I just ignore him and it usually only lasts a minute. Hopefully it will pass soon for BOTH of them wub.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Katy was about 15 months (though she also got a new little brother so that could have had some impact) and MAtt was 18 months.
Dr. said arround 18 months is the normal

mckayleesmom replied: 14/15 months....I don't know why they call it terrible twos.... rolleyes.gif

kimberley replied: from birth tongue.gif lol j/k

none of my kids had the "terrible twos". it was the "terrible ones" and "terrible 3s". rolleyes.gif

ammommy replied: We started around 15-18 months. Enjoy the two's, though, because the attitude of the 3's is 1000x worse tongue.gif

elvisfan replied: My ds3 started right around 2. It was like he changed overnight! 7 months later it hasn't eased up. wacko.gif

moped replied: These are NOT good reports - FYI!!!!
