When did you tell family and friends?

boyohboyohboy replied: I found out I was 5 weeks preg with caleb, and told my mother...i always tell her, but friends and other family we waited till about 10 weeks..
I have never waited the first trimester as some say....

My3LilMonkeys replied: With both girls we told everyone immediately...we're not good at waiting.

hopefulmomtobe replied: I told everyone now, but I haven't told my boss yet...I am sooo scared about that because I dont want her to feel like it will be a problem or anything....so I dont know how to handle that. I need my job!

ediep replied: I told my family the day I took the test, and my very close freinds after my first sono which was about 6 weeks.
I told other friends about 9-10 weeks and when I was working and preg with Jason, I told my boss at 13 week

Our Lil' Family replied: We told our families as soon as we could do it in person, which was at about 6 weeks. I didn't tell my boss until the day of my first appt. at 7 weeks I believe.

PrairieMom replied: With The Boy we waited 12 weeks to tell my parents, and 14 weeks to tell DH's. (we wanted to tell them in person, and had to drive 12 hours to WY to do it. )

With Ally, everyone knew we were trying, so they were expecting it. I told my parents the day I took the test, and DH's parents when I was about 5 weeks.

I never did tell my boss. I work in a huge department, and news travels fast. He eventually figured it out.

MyLuvBugs replied: 11-12 weeks is what we've waited with both PG's. Although I had to tell my mom and dad at 8 wks with Lexi b/c they were already making travel plans for September......I sorta needed them here.

luvmykids replied: With the twins it took awhile because we weren't married and I wasn't exactly looking forward to the reaction. With Macie we said we were going t wait but I spilled the beans about an hour after the test

And since I must have missed the announcement, CONGRATS!

CantWait replied: With Robbie I was young, so my mom knew shortly after, my grandma found out when I was about 6 months along.

With Anthony, everyone found out on Christmas Eve when I sent them a parcel filled with baby goods, I was only a couple months along I think.

MotherForever2043 replied: My fist two pregnancies I told my family and freinds when I was two months preg. but for this pregnancy I already anounced the news to some of my family (news travels FAST), but for freinds, i'll probably wait until about two and a half months.

Cece00 replied: Not for about 8-12 weeks with my first two. I wasnt married, I was young, they were close together, etc etc etc. It wasnt the best situation and even though I was very happy, you know how other ppl can be.

With the last two- pretty much right away! Literally, with my daughter, the DAY we found out, like within 30 minutes.

I was like 7 wks when I found out with my son (I had been on birth control) and I think we told everyone within a week or two of finding out.
