What's your least favorite chore around the house?
MommyToAshley wrote: I would have to say mine is laundry. I absolutely dread it! I don't mind dishes so much but I hate laundry. Did I say I hate laundry? Guess what I am doing ... laundry!
Ashley did make it a little more entertaining the other day. I was folding laudry on the couch in the living room while she was playing on the floor. I finished one load and put the basket on the floor...silly me! I turned to get the other basket and turned back around, and she had dumped the laundry out and was crawling in the basket (which was tipped on it's side). LOL....made for a good picture!
Schnoogly replied: I don't mind laundry--it's kind of satisfying. I guess that's why I don't mind using & washing cloth diapers. I'd have to say sweeping/mopping floors, esp. the bathrooms. DH cleans the cat boxes or else that would be it!!

5littleladies replied: Ooo laundry here all the way!! I hate laundry! Poor DH is always getting ready for work and saying " Honey do I have any clean shirts?" lol!! Laundry and I just do not get along very well.
TLCDad replied: I do not like washing dishes myself. I can handle the laundry until it gets piled up lol. I'm probably going to do a few loads tonight. LOL gotta get my chores in for brownie pnts.
momofajcl replied: Toilets...and the area around them...3 boys plus a dh...that is one messy area in my house
Schnoogly replied: Oh yeah! Do all men pee on the floor or what??? That's what I was referring to in my 'mopping the bathroom' post. I am thinking of segregating our bathrooms into boys room and girls room (aka MY bathroom) just so I don't have to walk through puddles of pee all the time!!! DH says he tries really hard not to but I guess it just sprays??? Argh!

momofajcl replied: LOL! That would be awesome if you could designate bathrooms, boys vs. girls, and have your dh clean the boys bathroom! Yeah, right, huh? LOL! My dh and I got in a fight over that one day...I said it was his and the boy's mess so he should clean it up. That didn't work Oh well! LOL!
dhoppygirl replied: I absolutely hate the trash...emptying it, taking it to the curb, smashing it down so you can fit more...I hate it!!! Luckily, DH does it!!
kit_kats_mom replied: I don't have a least favorite but I'm pretty spoiled. We have a housekeeper who comes every other week. Here are mine
-Trash (DH does the downstairs trash all the time. I take care of the diapers, catbox and upstairs trash) -Scrubbing tubs (housekeeper...that's the main reason I hired the woman. I got her when I was preggo and couldn't reach the tub and I've been able to keep her) -Yard work. I hate sweating and it is just too hot here in Fl. It's pretty wild out there right now.
laundry isn't so bad when you WAH. I start a load every am when I get up and I put it in the drier when i get a chance. I would hate it if I only had the weekends or evenings to do it though. BTW, DH used to laundry, until he washed & dried my full length wool dress coat. It almost fit my cat after it came out of the drier. I think he may have done that on purpose to get out of laundry duty.

supermom replied: Man, that's a toughie - right now, I would have to say dishes because I having a real problem standing for any length of time in one spot because of PG....with almost everything else I can take it somewhere where I can sit down and do the chore or can move a bit while doing it (vaccum, etc). But when I am not PG my absolute most hated chore is dusting. I will leave it until it's absolutely horrid and I can't stand it anymore then I will usually bribe one of my older daughters to do it - - they do help a lot around the house, and really no one likes to do that one!!
kit_kats_mom replied: ???????
Dusting? Now there's a foreign word LOL
MommyToAshley replied: I agree with toilets...it's right up there with laundry. LOL
Well, if you are ever feeling a little dissatisfied, please come to my house. You can get lots of satisfication here. LOL
CantWait replied:
ack you said it, even my hubby doesn't like to do bathrooms, so why is it I'm stuck cleaning up after his and my son's mess........???
My absolute least favourite though is ironing, I just don't do it. If I need something dewrinkled, it goes in the dryer. If it can't go in the dryer then I iron when I need it.
I also don't like doing dishes after they've been piled, and I certainly don't like putting them away....
Dusting also.
Who am I kidding, I can't stand doing any house cleaning, I'm suprised it gets done at all. I think part of it has to do with the fact I'm always working.
MommyToAshley replied: hmmmm. Since you offered, shouldn't you be doing laundry right now?
hehehehe!
MomToMany replied: With three sons, plus DH, I know all about that, too ! You'd think they would know how to AIM!! I'm going to have to get the Froot Loops out again & retrain everybody ! Another one is laundry. I hate folding and putting it all away! There's SO much to put in such small spaces. I'll get around to having that garage sale yet! I don't mind sorting stuff out, because I know I'll get rid of it !
ashade75 replied: Must be a family trait! I hate laudry too. Everytime dad comes over he looks in my laudry room. Auuugh , Im getting a padlock. Ill tell you it is hard to keep up with laudry for 5 people. There are at least 2-3 loads a day with sport clothes, school clothes and bed clothes.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Like as if they are to lazy to bend down and wipe it, BEFORE it gets gooey?
Gross.
I use the bathroom downstairs most of the time... I use the upstairs bathroom only to shower...and there are 2 doors. One close to the shower, one close to the toilet. Guess wich one I use? lol!
kit_kats_mom replied: I found the chore I most hate to do.
The drain in my shower was slow, The water had nowhere to go. so I got out a hook, and pulled out the gook It was really gross don't ya know?
Seriously...how do I still have hair on my head when all of it was stuck in the drain? I really looked like an adolescent yak had been shaved in my bathtub when I got through. GROSS!

maliksmommy replied: Folding laundry! I will pull clothes out of the basket until they are all worn again sometime before I will fold them. I am so awful about this, DH hates it too so we have lots of baskets full of clean clothes:) Maybe I can teach Malik to fold
dhoppygirl replied:
Ironing is a chore??? I think I have an iron...even an ironing board...and I think I have used it on two pieces of clothing in a year!!! I hate ironing...I agree with the dryer technique!! BTW..I have had coworkers comment on the wrinkles in my pants!!! I'd rather deal with that than ironing!
supermom replied: There is someone (I think it's the same ppl who make Downy) that make a spray on "Wrinkle Reducer" - spray it on, tug on cloth, let it hang, and viola! Pretty much wrinkle free. The only time I EVER iron is if I am sewing - then it's almost a necessity - smile....
CantWait replied: LOL
sounds like a good idea to me.

If you throw a damp wash cloth in the dryer with the clothing the wrikles come out better!
I also hang them in the bathroom while showering and the steam works the wrikles out.
