What's my motivation?

MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: So, everyone here is motivated by something. For some it's personal satisfaction, others fame and fortune, others recognition. So, what is it that keeps you going? What is the one thing that absolutely makes your day and makes it so much easier to keep going. For WOHMs and SAHMs. Here's my two. And I say to because of my schedule.
On my 7days at work, it is recognition. If one of my supervisors says thanks for doing a good job it absolutely makes my day and makes me work harder.
On my 7days at home, it is Logan. Seeing him learn new things and do new things is an absolute blast.

My3LilMonkeys replied: At work, knowing that what I do is important. Of course that's all relative - my work isn't as important as some other people's is, but 175+ people rely on me to pay them so to them I'm important. wink.gif

At home, the kids. I love watching them grow and learn things.

HuskerMom replied: Keith is always in a really good mood when he wakes up in the morning so the highlight of my day is seeing him smile every morning smile.gif

Calimama replied: My motivation is seeing Bella thrive. wub.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: My motivation for continued education is the pursuit of entering a field where services will always be needed, nursing, and will not likley be in low demand anytime soon. Also to offer a bit of help, if I can.

My family is what keeps me on this course. Chris has his own aspirations for his future career, as do I, so our girls are ours. Me, soon to be just 1/2 a hard worker as Chris has been for us these past few years is another is an encouragement to keep on keeping on.

CantWait replied: My kids. It's always my kids. They're my heros, and they are what keep me going when I'm down, and just don't feel like going on at times.

Cece00 replied: Personal satisfaction. Especially with my kids, because I really strive to make sure they become productive, smart, talented children who grow into adults who will, if nothing else, be good people who will contribute to society. There are so many ppl in the world popping out kids like its nothing and giving them no guidance or life skills and just letting them loose to make a mess of their life, which usually effects OTHER people's lives.

luvmykids replied: I think mostly mine is personal satisfaction; just knowing I'm doing my best with the kids, the house, etc. I try to half-a** it sometimes and then kick myself later because I'm not happy with the results which fires me up to just plain do better.

When it comes to the company my motivation is success, knowing that I play a part in making it thrive for my own benefit and that of the people who rely on us to support their families; I was on cloud 9 when we got to a place where we could provide awesome benefits which in construction is rare.

And with a few other things, it is sheer personal pleasure, like photography and cooking.

lovemy2 replied: At work, its two things - one knowing I am helping people at quite possibly the worst time in their life - the loss of a loved one (I am a estate specialist - I work with attorneys and for accountants handling estates) and also the fact that I am constantly learning and growing in the field.

At home it is by far first my children and husband and second my home itself - I take alot of pride in it!!!!

Twelve Volt Man replied:
Quite possibly the best statement I've ever read anywhere!

A&A'smommy replied: You know sometimes when I wake I wonder who I am, and what I'm doing and why... and so many other depressing things.. but then I hear Alyssa's laugh.. she still has that belly laugh and her smile.. the fact that I can teach her something and normally after the first time she remembers it... Alyssa keeps me going. What a great post Thats for starting it!!!
