I remember most of the stuff I put in last time, but it's fun to see what everyone else likes to take...I know I have many months until I get the hospital, but just curious about you Momma's who're going before me...

MyLuvBugs replied: Hmmmm.....Gotta remember. smile.gif

- Disposable camera (quick and easy)
- Maxi Pads (just in case)
- 2 Pairs of Underwear
- Pants to go home in
- Shirt to go home in
- Toiletries: Shampoo, Face wash, Toothpaste, Tooth Brush, Hair brush, Hair dryer, etc.
- Baby outfit for coming home wub.gif (that's my fav)
- 1 diaper (newborn, to get home just in case) & small bag of wipes
- Granola bars for DH in case it's a LONG labor
- Deck of cards (that was b/c I thought it would be an easy labor rolleyes.gif )
- Ipod to play music to distract from the pain
- Vitamins

I think that's about all I took last time. I'll have to go and find a list and make sure. smile.gif

Cece00 replied: Hm, you know I've only packed the bag early like with my first...

Then usually I just stick in- clothes for the baby, clothes to wear home, toiletries (shampoo, etc), digi cam, camcorder, baby book....socks....cant remember anything else.

no snacks, music, pads, diapers for baby, etc I get all of those @ the hospital. My MIL is a head charge nurse there & everyone knows her so I get the royal treatment rolling_smile.gif (aka all the snacks & baby goodies I want)

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Since I packed yesterday, here goes:

robe and two nightgowns
3 nursing bras
4-5 pairs of LARGE panties (for all those big pads)
going home outfit (sweats)
nursing tank top
pads
toiletries (all the essentials, but chapstick and my toothbrush are the most important!)
4 pairs of socks
slippers
breast pads
birth plan and hospital info
clothes for baby, socks, hat, little mittens so he doesn't scratch his face
a few burp cloths
breastfeeding book
massager and lavender oil (I liked the smell while I was in labor)
my own pillow case
my own wash cloths
nipple ointment
tucks laugh.gif
camcorder and digital camera
maybe some CDs
and I still need to get a gift for Wil

I think that's it! baby.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
As far as all the baby goodies you wanted thing....we were supplied with receiving blankets, formula, and diapers and when we left the hospital whatever was left in his bassinet we took home with us. So the only baby thing we needed to bring to the hospital with us was an outfit for him to wear home and his car seat. They also provided pads for me and sent me home with lots of them too....which I prefered over the maxis that I used to use.

luvmykids replied: I didn't hardly pack anything,

-jammies
-socks
-deoderant, toothbrush/paste,lotion, shampoo & conditioner
-hair clips
-clothes for me and baby
-a book

That was it!

ashtonsmama replied: Ya'll are prepared!

Gave me some more ideas, things I'd already forgotten about, so thank you! Nice job on yours, Rae, you sound like me, thinking of everything possible!

And I like the ipod idea...I'll definitely have to remember that for the fall...

garrettsmom replied:
We had the same sort of thing.....didn't have to take much because they supply so much......but my bag was full of.....

robe
undies
nursing bra
slippers
socks
go home clothes (sweats)
toothbrush, brush, etc
iPod
my laptop (they had wireless internet biggrin.gif )
baby clothes
video camera
digital camera
deck of cards
travel games tongue.gif
snacks for hubby
lots of change and small bills for hubby to go to cafeteria and vending machine

hubby also brought a bag of assorted candies, which came in handy because I was in labor for 14 hours before I had a c-section and he shared it with all the nurses and midwife!!! They all seemed to really enjoy the treat!! He also had pizza delivered to our room when I was in labor and shared it with all the family, nurses, and doctors!!! (didn't bother me ONE BIT....I was so out of it and no where near delivering) smile.gif

ashtonsmama replied: I like your laptop idea, garrettsmom!

MyLuvBugs replied:
ITA! thumb.gif I'll have to come back to this post in a couple weeks when I start packing. smile.gif

augustmom2b replied: My MIL asked me what we are going to pack for the baby for her hospital pics. I didn't even think of that. Any ideas?

DH thinks we really need to get a new digital camera, and I agree. My parents have a camcorder we can use, but I want to have great, candid still shots of the event and our new addition.

Did some online research and found a good camera reviews on www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Panasonic/. I narrowed it down to a Pansonic lumix dmc-tz1. DH seems to like it too, but I'd love some feedback.

Can people take a look at http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Panasonic-L...roductDetail.do and let me know what you think? It's on sale right now.n I like it because it has a baby mode setting. It also has the most zoom available for a compact camera and it has sports mode.

Thanks!
