I'll make some fried potatoes and some vegetables too. Fried potatoes...they are so good, I could eat them every day!!! My MIL makes them and I finally got them right. You peel a few potatoes depending on how many you're cooking for...slice them about a quarter inch thick...cover with water in a dish and microwave for about 7-8 minutes. You want them to get cooked but still firm enough not to fall apart, yet mush enough to eat. Anyway, after they're done, you put them in a pan with a little cut up onion (optional) and a few tablespoons of butter or however much you can handle...and let them brown and get a little crispy on one side...then turn them over and let them do the same on that side. Not CRISPY but you know what I mean...just browned enough to where they don't get burned. THEY ARE SO GOOD!!!!
And I'm making string beans. I finally asked my mom how to make them. THEY'RE THE BEST EVER I PROMISE!!! You put a couple TBS butter in a pan and turn it on Medium High or High until it starts to bubble and hiss at you Then you pour in your DRAINED green beans. You put a good amount of Accent (in the spice aisle) on them...don't be afraid, the more the better, LOL...and you also put a good amount of salt and pepper on them and let them cook on Medium for a couple minutes and then turn them over. If they look like they're starting to burn, add a little water...just a tad bit, a tbs or two...or turn them more often. When they look waxy they're done...or after about five minutes.
SO GOOD!! TRY IT!

coasterqueen replied: Since it's absolutely GORGEOUS outside (and if DH can get the grill working) we'll have Filet Mignon on the grill, baked potatoes, corn, rolls.
moped replied: Nothing much cause I am alone and Jack eats baby food - so I am not sure........too damn busy cleaning the house right now - took a little break and Jack is just waking up - this time change really screwed us up this morning!
