What would your color(s) be?

C&K*s Mommie wrote: If you could paint your home a wild color or use a pattern....what would it be, and why??

mckayleesmom replied: Plaid or stripes.... rolling_smile.gif ...You said anything.

My3LilMonkeys replied: A mural of a field of flowers or something pretty like that.

ilovemybaby replied: I really like Coral Red. But that's not wild or anything...

Wild - Purple and Lime biggrin.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Chris always had hopes of painting his house and car, glow in the dark green. blink.gif He asked our (former) neighbors who were cops, if there are any laws or anything governing the extremes of painting cars, she said there was. Glow in the dark was out for a car.

But for a house, there is nothing that she knew of saying what you can or cannot do. But there is no way I am approving glow in the dark ANYTHING on a house. When he gets his Seminoles dream room (aka a big shed in the backyard made into a giant Seminole shrine), he can paint that whatever he chooses. Just not the house. sleep.gif

redchief replied: We're actually discussing colors for the house, but have no consensus as of yet. This is compounded by the fact that the house is a duplex and my parents live downstairs and they do not think like me... at all.

I'm not a real wild color guy, but maybe fire engine red with gold leaf cornices would be the best descriptor of my personality.

Brias3 replied: I would do a certain paint style I saw in a magazine once. It involved many different variants of one specific color- from pale to REALLY BRIGHT in geometric patterns that intertwined. Hard to explain but it looks really cool to see. I think it would look really unique if each room was a different color of the pattern. In my dreams, huh? laugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Those are definitely unique choices, and I like them all!

I think we would all qualify for that show on HGTV called "What's with that house?", if all of our extreme exterior colored homes were lined up in a row. We would be the talk of the town!

MamaJAM replied: Primary colors -- we've often talked about painting each wall in our living room/dining room a different primary color. The only thing stopping us is re-sale value. Assuming we ever move into a larger home that we intend to stay in -- we WILL do the 'wild painting.

Brias3 replied: One more "wild" thing that I tried was coordinating two color shades of the same color on every other wall in a room. For example, two walls being bright pink, two being pale pink. We have the pink done that way in Aliyah's room and then bright blue and a dark sea green in Ryan's. I was way nervous at first but it turned out awesome. That's about as brave as I'll go smile.gif

CosmetologyMommy replied: PINK!!!!!!!! THE WHOLE HOUSE, INSIDE AND OUT! biggrin.gif

luvmykids replied: Exterior, I'm a classic brown stucco with white trim and metal roof gal ... Pitched roof, it's hard to picture without the house to go with it.

Interior, I like basics on the wall and lots of colors in blues, greens, reds and corals in the furniture/accessories.

My3LilMonkeys replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif A glow in the dark house - boy, would your neighbors hate you!!! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

My DH thinks it would be cool though. sleep.gif
