What would you serve?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Women always love artichoke dip or maybe just a brie with crackers. I make bruschetta a lot...just dice tomatoes, add chopped fresh basil, garlic, salt and pepper and olive oil. And then add to a toasted crostini (just toast french bread rounds) and sprinkle a little shaved parm on the top. Veggie tray with ranch is always a good standby. Have fun!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Great ideas! Thanks Rae!
mckayleesmom replied: Maybe some little deli sandwiches, meatballs, chips and dip.
CantWait replied: I was going to ask the same thing. We're having our housewarming party next Saturday...
One of my foods is going to be crackers with cream cheese and smoked salmon on top.
kit_kats_mom replied: Serve for the kids or the adults?
What time is the party?
At our playgroups, the host typically has a fruit bread or coffee cake and coffee for the adults. For the kids we usually have grapes, juice boxes, goldfish, cheese sticks that kind of stuff.
coasterqueen replied: Bruschetta is always a fave! Brie cheese on strawberry halves, petite gourmet pizzas, Antipasto, fresh fruit, little salami coronets filled with some type of cheese.
Have fun!
Our Lil' Family replied: I think the spinach and artichoke dip is a good idea, with either crackers or in a hawaiian bowl with the bread for dipping. Fruit tray would be good, nice and cold to beat that Dallas heat! What about pinwheels?
CantWait replied: ummmm that sounds good. I'm stealing that one.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: It's just adults.
Thanks so much for the ideas!
Boys r us replied: You've gotten some great ideas!!!
Another EASY one that I use a lot is Dried beef slices(the kind that come in the jar) spread with cream cheese and rolled up. Those are easy to eat, easy to make and always a hit! Another variation I sue for this is sliced deli ham prepared the same way(cream cheese spread thickly over slice and then rolled up) then I slice the ham roll into small little spirals or pinwheels.
I have a great & simple cheese ball recipe:
2 round tubs of cream cheese-softened 2 packs of dried beef - cut into very small minced pieces 1 small onion-also cut into small minced pieces 3 dashes of wirshershire(sp?) sauce
mix all ingredients together and form a ball, serve with any variety of crackers.
Another idea..veggie pizza!
ions_momma replied: I would say maybe some little deli sandwiches, chips and dip, and some crackers and cheese.
