I know there are a few birthdays coming up, and was just curious what you are going to buy for your little one wub.gif

I would love to hear (if you have a child older than a year) what you bought for their first b-day

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I started her collection of Madame Alexander dolls. I try to buy her one a year whether it is for Birthday or Christmas. I bought her the birthday girl for her first birthday. We also got her a little playhouse for the backyard. Just one of the little tikes playhouses.

Good luck and happy shopping! biggrin.gif

Mommieto2Girls replied: So far all we have gotten Maddie was Rock, Roll n Ride Trike. Her party is Sunday so we are going shopping before then and getting more gifts for her to open at the party.

mummy2girls replied: i am planning on getting jenna a toy that she can push and walk with..so she can learn to walk... wub.gif

and a precious moents ornament..i want to start a collection for her

maliksmommy replied: I hate to admit it, but we might not get Malik anything. These 2 parties that we are having for him are costing more than I had planned and plus he will be getting so much stuff anyways there won't be room for anything else.

Jamison'smama replied: Other than the basic stuff--books, toys, I think I will do a Build-A -Bear with her as well as getting an inscribed silver frame where I will put a picture of her on her birthday. I hope to keep that up each year. My DH started her a charm bracelet for her for Christmas and will add a charm for her birthday.

We also bought her a little picnic table and a swing. I thnk that is it for now. We tend to go overboard smile.gif

I do like to buy keepsakes though so that is where the frame and charm come in.

We got him SO MUCH........but we hardly spent anything on his birthday party.

We got him:

1) a pair of tan corduroy pants for the fall @ 8.99$

2) a nice pair of footed red pj's in a soft material, both inside and out (I think that was the most expensive @ 20$

3) a plush baseball glove with a ball you can un-velcro and thrown around (it's the same style as the plush soccer ball he already has) @ 9.99$

4) 2 sets of magnetic alphabet letters to put on the fridge @ 2 for 1$

5) a couple sets of glow in the dark moon and stars to stick on his ceiling and walls, as well as a star map so I can make them look ok (the map was given to me by a friend) @ total of 5$

6) a night light shaped like a star

7) 2 kits of building blocks - they are square, with the center missing, you can stack them any way really......really neat. DH and I had fun with them for a few hours - you can do so much more with 2 sets. They aren't lego, but I can't remember their name, and now they're wrapped..... @ 15$ each

8) 5 videos - numbers, letters, animals, shapes, and the time. They're short, but they only cost me 1.88$ each.

9) His own little bathmat - it's blue with little yellow rubber duckies on it. It's more of a selfish gift - because I didn,t like the yellow things that call themselves flowers that curently resides in my bathtub @ 5$

So I got him a lot of things - but I know my mom, my grandmother, my dad and the inlaws are going to spoil him rotten! biggrin.gif

For his birthday party - I bought a pack of balloons (20) at the dollar store, same with a package of napkins, paper plates and forks.... we're serving hotdogs and fries, my mil is bringing macaroni salad, and my mom is bringing juice, pepsi and sprite. We've got chips and popcorn, and that's that! I got a boxed cake mix for 2$, and I have icing sugar up the yin........ so it'll be fun!

CantWait replied: I think I bought a book for him, little baby toys, a bouncy thing, that was years ago, I can't remember LOL

MomofTay&Sam replied: Ok Zach's mom I need to hire you! I will PM you and maybe you can help get me started. smile.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: katherine will be opening her Little people barn and some play kitchen stuff from us. Grandma has bought her a puzzle and I know that she will be getting alot of books. I also put most of the classic Disney videos on her wish list. Someone bought fantasia already. LOL

catou_98 replied: We bought camille a chain with a pendant....it is soooo cute, the pendant is in the shape of 2 little baby feet! it's really adorable, we also bought her a new pink blankie set(she has one already) so this way if we shall lose one we have another! tongue.gif and if we have some more money before her birthday comes I want to get her a DVD of walt disney, possibly lion king or alice in wonderland, either way we want to start her the collection! rolleyes.gif

amynicole21 replied: DH is going shopping this weekend for a play set for the backyard. My Mom and sis bought her a bunch of stuff, like a leapfrog learning table and some clothes. I don't think we'll do too much more ourselves - our friends usually take VERY good care of us wink.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
I sent you one back! Glad to help - I LOVE planning (or giving ideas at least)stuff for other people!
