What was your wedding colors? - ...any suggestions?
JessC wrote: Hey everyone. I know I did a post on this before but...
What was your wedding colors? And what would you suggest... we planned for the 20th of May, I cannot decide because I don't have a favorite color or colors.
Also... any flowers suggestions would be helpful too. I would like maybe to go with Gerbera Daisies, Tulips or Roses.
Thanks
amymom replied: I didn't have a favorite color or anything either. But figured I didn't want blue, I was thinking maybe green. We were married May 12th (many years ago ). I decided to pick out the bridesmaids dresses and see what color they all like. So finally about March, we pick out the dress, and what do they all like, BLUE!!! So blue it was. A nice sky blue ---so my wedding color became blue and I like it just swell. I used silk flowers with real greens and They were mostly roses and some little blue flower, not sure what it was.
Enjoy the planning.
gr33n3y3z replied: we had a very light blue
ediep replied: we used lavender for the bridesmaids and most of the flowers. The matron of honor wore purple.
moped replied: Black bridesmaids dresses, I was white and the guys wore black...........red roses everywhere..................simple but very nice I thought
SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: I used royal blue and lylac purple and everyone said it would look bad but, man was they wrong it was beautiful

Cary Lynn replied: Our Colors were white and purple
MM'sMama replied: We used baby blue because I feel in love with these one bridesmaids dresses and they only came in that color and pink. We also added some silver. Our flowers were pink, white and red roses very very beautiful.
We just had my brothers wedding this weekend (sunday) and we used greens which isn't color a usually like all that much but I did love it in the end, and light orange, light yellow, and pink. Their flowers were white lilies, light orange, light yellow and pink roses. Everything turned out so well and looked so beautiful.
Jamison'smama replied: Navy dresses and all white flowers
mom2tripp replied: Ours was in September so I was in white of course, the bridesmaids were in a an apple color, the groomesmen were in black with vests that matched the bridesmaids. Sal was in black with a white vest. I carried two dozen dark red roses to match the bridesmaids dresses and my girls carried a dozen white roses to match me. We had dark red roses and white roses everywhere:)
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Navy blue and lilac.
The bridesmaids wore periwinkle colored dresses, the groomsmen wore midnight bue tuxes. DH and I were in Black and Ivory, the tables were Navy linens with some lilac decor..... very nice. THe flowers were calla lillies, with bluebird roses (lilac) and cream roses, some veronicas (dark blue wierd long things) and greens.
Very nice!
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: We used Burgendy, Black, and Silver, but I had an extreeeemly formal weedding at the end of December. The flowers were all the real dark red roses that almost look black, and some white roses thrown in my bouquet and the mothers flowers for depth. Since yours is more of a springy/summer I would go with lighter colors. ANd depending if it's day or night. The darker colors would be better at night and the light look better during the day.
A&A'smommy replied: very light blue and very light pink were mine I had pink roses and my bridesmaids wore light blue dresses... now if I had more time to plan my wedding I would have used red and white which is VERY popular for spring weddings BUT I think its absolutly beautiful!!
