What was the worst car or truck - you ever had

mckayleesmom wrote: stemming from hanasmom's post.....

Ive had 2
1.
A 1993 Saturn. That thing was a gem. Sometimes for no reason...the breaks wouldn't work..nice huh? I almost hit a kid in my school parking lot going 5mph... ohmy.gif .

2.
Before we moved to Minnesota....dh crashed my car. So when he got up there he bought a truck to get around in. I got there and that truck was barely standing on its wheels if you get what I mean. One day I had to go pick him up from work in that truck and in Duluth everything is up and down hills. I was driving up a hill and all the sudden the the truck felt funny....I look to my left and my wheel is rolling past me.....YEP......THE FLIPPING WILL CAME OFF THE CAR AND PASSED ME UP. Luckily a guy ran over and kicked it over.

kellibellisdillybear replied: tongue.gif Yikes! The first car I bought by myself was a '90 Olds. By the time I got rid of it last year 1.the drivers side window was broken shut 2.the rear drivers side door was broken locked shut 3.the heat didn't work 4.the lighter didn't work 5.the cassette didn't work 6.there was a crack in the front window 7.half the paint was missing(Imust mention it started falling off the week I bought it used in 96) 8.it had a 'fancy' engine, which was technically upside down, so any work done they had to REMOVE the engine to do it! LOL, I gave it away to a friend to fix up, now I drive a Dodge Ram that was my dads!

moped replied: OH COME ON YOU GUYS!!!!!!!

Brianne, I think you missed the car post a few months back - I am NOT telling it again!!!!!!!!!

I still drive it

ediep replied: 1991 teal green ford tempo.

It wasn't my first car but it was such a dump. When i would go over a bump, the windsheild wipes would go on. When I switched from Reverse to drive it would make a LOUD clunk!! It also always smelled like gasoline.

~KARA~ replied: mine was a 1986 ford escort that my bio dad gave me. I drove it 150 miles and it died on me! Yet another reason I hate my bio dad!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: 1987 Toyota Tercel with tweed seats! It was a great first car though!! I remember my dad came home one day with a Chevy Luv truck...it was used and had a large rainbow painted ont the side. The former owner had wall to wall shag carpeting in the back, even on the ceiling!!! It was definitely a "LOVE" truck...my dad repainted it, thank god, because my sister and I were soooooooooo embarassed to be seen in it!

mckayleesmom replied:
rolling_smile.gif Did I forget to mention that I was driving when the wheel came off and passed me??

kimberley replied: me personally.. every car i owned wacko.gif

ford taurus and saturn SL2 dry.gif

my dad...

red Pacer aka the fishbowl
2 tone puke green on pukier green Delta 88
and...

his current pimp mobile... a giant burgandy caddy blush.gif

Mommy2BAK replied: I have actually had pretty good luck with cars. But when I was preggo DH totalled his car then 2 weeks later wrecked mine, so we had no car and my mom's friends let us borrow one of his work trucks for his company. It was like an '85 Ford something or other. It was HUGE and dark blue. Imagine my big preggo butt having to climb in and out of that at school! rolleyes.gif rolling_smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
I can imagine.....I forgot the 88 suburban my husband bought while I was pregnant with Mckaylee....it was lifted and had no steps to get help people get in....keep in mind Im 5ft1. Also that thing broke down on me about 50 times.

lisar replied: I dont remember the year but I was 14 and got a volkswagon rabit. I learned to drive in it. Never got it registered. I paid $100.00 for the car and sold it for $500.00 when I was 16 and got something a lil better I got a pontiac Lemans. And drove it into the ground.
Now I have a brand new dodge durango. and I love it

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I have had pretty good luck with cars, the worst I think was probably a '78 Mercedes that had a problem with the glow plugs so would randomly decide when it was in the mood to turn on, and occasionally you could *turn it off* and walk away and it would still be on. My dad however has had pleanty of junk cars that have had every electric problems ever imagined

luvbug00 replied: Uhh this is my first car and no problems yet. 2004 nissan sentra safe and reliant so far! wink.gif

kayla's mama replied: I've had pretty good luck with cars, but my dad is a different story. he bought a fire engine red dodge truck. No AC, battery died 20 mins after pulling off the lot, and had to put a new trainy in it after a month. Dealer said it would be a lemon if the trainy went out again. I'll be darn the truck never needed a new trainy again. It already ate up 7 trainy's in 5 yrs. Hunk of junk!!!

NummyMommy replied: Its a tossup between this HUGE orange ford truck my Dad bought then gave to me to drive.....the brakes were going out....my friends would place bets when we came to stop signs whether wed stop or not....2 guesses what happened to it....and then theres my tricolored 1980 honda civic hatchback...I traded my camaro for it....did I mention I was a particularly stupid teenager???

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
I think you got the short end of the stick on that trade. emlaugh.gif I have had very good luck with cars, but I suppose the worst would be my '94 dodge peon, I mean neon. The computer chip in it went out 3 months after I bought it. You would be driving along and all of a sudden all the gauges would just stop working, no gas gauge, no speedometer, etc. But then if you banged hard on the dash with your fist, it would ding a few times and all come back on.

mummy2girls replied: OMG brianne...im crying because im laughing so hard. I got the mental picture of the wheel passing you..LOLOL

k my first car was a dodge colt...LOL. This thing was ok at first but by the time 12 months past by, things started to happen:) Such as... the bumper was ready to fall off, if you are in the back seat you cant open the door to get out...LOL. My drivers side window couldnt roll up but could roll down...LOL. It started to burn oil. It was awful. I woudl be at a red light and when it would turn green i would leave behind the biggest cloud of blue smoke...LOL. I would look in my mirrors and the people behind me would be rolling up thier windows...LOL

then i had a dodge 600 SE and man this thing broke down every 2 moinths. Then i got a ford taurus and this thing would break down as well.

NummyMommy replied:
Yeah I was/am pretty dumb when it comes to cars...I couldn't even remember what kinda car it was I had to call my brother and ask rolling_smile.gif I was pretty much the laughingstock emlaugh.gif blush.gif

CantWait replied: Our 98 Jimmy, then truck previously owned before this car. Something was always falling off, making noise, or just not going right with it. As if the car wasn't a piece of junk on it's own, when we went to African Lion Safari (you get to drive through to see the animals) the darn monkeys starting ripping the rubber pieces off from the windows. rolling_smile.gif To this day we call them the stupid monkeys.

Boys r us replied: rolling_smile.gif These stories are cracking me up! I've had pretty good luck with cars too(thanks to being a daddy's girl growing up and now a DH who has a car fetish) I guess my worst car came on the heels of my BEST car!

When I was 15 my dad bought me a brand new 91 Nissan 300Z(what an idiot he must have been THAT day) that thing was AWESOME!!! I learned to drive on it and then when I got my DL it only took me about 1 to 2 months to total it! So my "punishment" and the worst car I've ever owned was a replacement to my Z of a Chevy Beretta GT. Looking back, it was actually a cute car and a nice one. But OMG did I despise it at the time! Ever since then, I've had pretty much whatever car I've wanted so I can't complain.

Sunflower04 replied: 1963 Dodge Dart with manual everything. It was a stunning pea green color with matching pea green interior. I felt like a old lady driving it. I couldn't see that good over the steering wheel.

mckayleesmom replied:
omg....my friends dad bought her one of those for her first care and it was covered in bumper stickers... laugh.gif
