What type of water - do you drink....

kayla's mama wrote: I have a confession....I haven't had tap water for 3 years until today. What a difference in flavor. I've always drank bottled water. DH calls me a water snob. blush.gif Just curious to see what ya'll drink.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Chilled tap water. But we are on a well, so it is nothing like city water. I am a water snob too...I will not drink city water. I won't even drink fountain soda if it is made with city water. My office mate at work laughs at me b/c I carry 2 24 oz. bottles of tap water from home every day - I refuse to drink the office water. rolling_smile.gif

Nathansmom replied: Bottled water here too, except sometimes the water from the bathroom tap tastes good (usually in the middle of the night, when I'm too lazy to walk to the water cooler laugh.gif )

C&K*s Mommie replied: Dasani spring water or the flavored variety & Nestle flavored water--- "water is water" is what my DH would say... but now I can tell him I am not the only one that notices a difference in spring, well & tap water! tongue.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: We have well water at the house so it is good-but if I am out I drink one certain bottled water or carry a thermos from home...Bill says I am crazy. Now I can tell him I am not! emlaugh.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: Tap water when I drink it

mom2tripp replied: Tap water all the way here, but we do have a well and we do live in the country.

Just curious have any of you seen that Primetime special: Myth Busters. ONe night this was on there and they proved even in the biggest of cities there is no difference in tap and bottled water! Sorry didn't mean to bust anyones bubble rolling_smile.gif

MomToMany replied: Tap water here too. We live in the country & have a well. I usually bring a big jug of water whenever we go somewhere because I hate being thirsty.

mom21kid2dogs replied: Tap water. Cold, straight from the tap makes no difference to me. I think it's hysterical that they "sell" water. 10 years ago you couldn't give the stuff away now it costs a $1.19 a bottle. ohmy.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, in MY town there is a difference between our tap water and bottled water. wink.gif I can assure you of that. Our tap water is DISGUSTING 95% of the time. Sometimes it is *okay* to drink, but I'd rather have bottled water. It really depends on where you live. Where DH grew up, their water was RED and you couldn't drink it unless you boiled it. blink.gif

Boys r us replied: We buy jugs of distilled water from the grocery store. I don't like the way our water tastes even though we have a water softener and purifier on it. We have well water and THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!

None of us really drink water to drink water though..I buy the jugs to use when I make Tea or something!

mom2tripp replied:
I agree with you on that thumb.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: When I'm at home I will drink the water from the freezer...It is just the regular tap water but cold as our filter is like a year overdue for being changed but it tastes good so I didn't want to spend the $40 to replace it. When I'm at work I drink bottled water because for some reason the water there is nasty??? dont know why it should be the same as home, but it's not. ANd a usually refill my water bottles a few times from home.

And as far as bottled water is concerned I can tell a difference in brands. IMO evian tastes like oil so I would rather be thirsty smile.gif And my water of choice is Aquafina.

jcc64 replied: Well water here- straight out of the ground. No chlorine, no chemicals. Just a UV light. Dh doesn't trust it, but I'm thinking if there were harmful parasites, I'd have some sort of gastrointestinal issues, which I don't.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We do like Nichole...we fill up big jugs of distilled water at the store. Colorado has great tap water, but I grew up in California where one wouldn't touch tap water, so it's still too hard for me to drink.

Now if you want to talk about water snob. My FIL uses certain bottled water for only cooking and an even more expensive bottled water (I think the Fiji brand) for drinking. So he always uses bottled, but he even thinks some bottled water isn't good enough!! He owns a health food store, so you get the picture!

5littleladies replied: Tap water. We do have a Pur filter, but I rarely use it. I try to remember to fill my Nalgene bottle when we go places but I usually forget and then I'll buy a bottle but I hate to spend the money. rolleyes.gif

coasterqueen replied: Our fridge has that filtration system and you can get water straight from it (has a waterline to it) so we drink that. It's a LOT better tasting than straight from the tap out where we live.

NikkiM replied: Kentwood bottled water here. Tap water gives me sore throat.

JP&KJMOM replied: Grew up on the greatset well water ever and still drink a ton when we visit my parents. But here at home we have a filtration system on our fridge and get water out of the door. We don't drink straightt from the tap cause it tastes like chlorine. Out and about I but Dasani if I need water.

amymom replied: I will only drink bottled water when home. I used to dring tap water when we lived in the last city I lived in. And growing up I had NYC water so I love, love, love that and when I go visit my brother I sometimes fill up some bottles. But, for some reason I get sick (gastro issues) when I drink the water in this town, although it all tests ok. But I cannot drink water at the three restaurants in town or out of my own tap, even boiled. But....everyone else in the family is fine with it. My 87 yr old MIL has been drinking it for over 50 yrs and she says it is fine and she hates bottled water.
Oh well, I drink Aguafina or Nestle or Walmarts bottled spring water by the gallon.

Our Lil' Family replied:
That's a Louisiana girl for sure, love the Kentwood!

We have a Brita filter that we use at home but when I buy bottled water it's usually Dasani or Kentwood (local brand).

TANNER'S MOM replied: I drink my spring water.. it is tap at my house. And when I am in town I drink Aquafina only..

I take the spring water at home and chill it though.. and have to pour it in a water bottle..

Mel

redchief replied: Tap water.

A&A'smommy replied: I can't stand tap water I absolutly LOVE dasni though and something called spring mountain I'm not sure if its local or not but we have one here in town and they deliever our water at work and I think I'm going to get them to deliever here at my house!!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Middle of the night - it doesn't matter. When I'm thirsty, IMll drink just about anything... lol

Usually we fill our jugs (we have a watercooler in our house) at the stores with distilled water, about 4$ for 18 gallons or something like that...

but it goes by so quickly. So sometimes we just fill it up with regular tap water.

I don't like the idea of paying like 1.25$ - 2$ for a water bottle though, when I can just ask for a paper cup filled with ice and get it from a drinking fountain...

It doesn't really bother me. Unless I'm told I have to let the water run for a minute before I can drink it... then I'll go thirsty. Gross.

mckayleesmom replied: both

moped replied: I just drink the cold clear stuff...............LOL

six_kids_at_28 replied: Plain tap water here laugh.gif

MM'sMama replied: Tap but through a fillter from the freezer. I think we have really good water here thumb.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Anything but tap. We have a Pur filter but I want to get a reverse osmosis filter. I grew up in the country and we had a culligan reverse osmosis because we couldn't drink our well water, and now I can't stand to drink tap water - sometimes if I'm dying of thirst in a restaurant and they've put enough ice in it I'll force it down. rolling_smile.gif

I cook with the water from my Pur filter, unless it's just for boiling noodles or potatoes and won't actually stay in the food. tongue.gif I don't really worry that tap water is bad for you I just think it's disgusting. blink.gif

holley79 replied:
My Dh says the same thing to me. He says there is no different in tap water then in bottle water. YEA RIGHT!!!! Our tap water, to me, taste like dirt. I even fill ice trays with bottle water. blush.gif The ice in our ice maker taste funny too. Maybe I have a water issue??? LOL

Hopefully that will all change when we get our new side by side with the water filteration system in it. blink.gif
