What to wear...
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: I have a wedding in a couple of weeks and I have no idea what to wear. I'm not in it, but would like to look nice. It is outside at 5pm and I wish I could predict the weather, but that is unlikely seeing as I live in Texas!! I'm not really that big yet and have trouble finding clothes that look decent on me (other than t-shirts and jeans or sweats) I guess I will have to go shopping this weekend. Does anyone have any ideas for a cute maternity dress or outfit? I don't want to be over dressed or under dressed. I wish I didn't have to go! I don't know what is appropriate for a garden wedding in October!! These are some things I found...which do you like??
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Or...this one.
I thought the wrap style would fit a little better since all the bellies seem to be so large in maternity clothes.
mckayleesmom replied: I like the second one, Also at motherhood store they have some nice peasant tops that would look nice with some white maternity pants.
A&A'smommy replied: Shop around and have fun while doing it!!! The second one would be better for a wedding.
MommyToAshley replied: I agree, the second one. And, you would get more use out of it, I think.
Jamison'smama replied: I agree--the second one is cute for a wedding--the first is a great business outfit though and would be perfectly appropriate to wear to a wedding!!
chloe&tysmommy replied: I really like the second one also, its elegant and stylish!!!
victoire2002 replied: I like the 2nd one, too. It's hard to buy dressy clothes when you're preggo.... I had the same thing happen to me when I was 5 months along with Aidan. I had a beach wedding in Florida.... I ended up buying a pantsuit from Motherhood that was silk dupioni, 2 pieces. Shirt was sleeveless, with an empire waist. Pants were capris, and I wore them with some cute low heeled mules. http://motherhood.com/collection.asp?categ...d=17&Pageison=1
They still sell a modified version of the one I bought. It's the one in red silk. My top didn't have sleeves, though.

Mine looked just like the blue one on this page.

momma2jenna replied: Well, I'm w/ the others, I like the second one too! How are you with the heat? You know our weather here, like you said. But I guess the sun won't be beaming down on you at 5:00-hopefully! Carry an umbrella in the car too! and maybe a pretty shawl (sp) in case it gets cold
juliajaj replied: I vote for the 2nd one too. Actually, I have a dress that looks very similar that I bought at Penney's. DH & I had a fancy banquet to attend when I was pregnant. I wasn't very big, but I was big enough that I needed to wear a maternity dress. The dress I bought (that looks exactly like dress #2) was dressy enough, but not too fancy that I couldn't wear again. I ended up wearing it several times throughout my pregnancy.
ediep replied: I like the second one too
The pant suit mentioned above is really nice too.
jdkjd replied: Maddiesma-
Where did the first two dresses come from?? I have a wedding in two weeks also and have NO idea what to wear...
Kaitlin'smom replied: I had a wedding to attend last year in fact almost exactually a year ago, I was PG and had a real hard time finding something to wear. I did not like the dresses I found I felt more huge than I was in them, and was not really wanting to wear black to a wedding. I ended up getting a skirt from motherhood, it was a nice print, and I a nice black (unfortinally) peasent top. I really felt cute in it, and not huge.
Have fun!

That is a good idea...hopefully it will be a little cooler since it is an evening wedding and the evenings here have been in the low 70's. Rain Rain Go Away!
Thanks everyone for your advice and helping me choose what dress to wear. I've decided to go with the second one. It is the best choice. I may end up buying both of them so I will have another dress in case I need it!
