What spring is all about.. - Look at Tanner and then all the green!

Crystalina replied: As far as your dinner pic, that is exactley what my DH says. He wants a Heilander so bad (a few actually) but I just can't do it. I know that they will become pets and I can't tweak their nose one day and then be putting A1 on them the next.
Your surroundings are very similiar to mine. I'll have to take pics one of these days. My trees are not as full as yours yet althought the Dogwoods are in bloom.
Your son is so hansome. It looks like he was on the way to school.

And I don't feel bad for eating him anymore cause he has gotten mean! If you go in with him and you try to feed him..he tries to charge you. He bucks and kicks over his head and grunts and farts..lol They out grow their cuteness real fast. He is about 800lbs and he lost cute at about 400lbs..lol
Thanks guys I do love my forest in the back yard. I love the privacy. I can just at my window and look out for hours when the house is quite.. I love it!

OMG I could so see MIL naming one of hers that. 800lbs WOW the one we got was about 1400lbs, 1000lbs of meat!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Yup they do get bigger..but we are going to eat him at a young age. We left him a bull b/c we didnt know if we wanted to eat him or not. But he has gotten pretty aggressive so he will be a tbone. If he gets more aggressive.. I don't want to deal with that at 1400lbs!
And yes Tanner got a hair cut last weekend. He sat in the chair and Momma gave him the summer buzz cut.

My Uncle had Heilanders, they are like buffalo right!? Or am I thinking of something differant!?! 
Anyway, if they are what I think they are....those are sooo cool! More like pets I agree, would be hard to eat them after!! 
TANNER'S MOM replied: The highlanders are like hairy cows! I am not sure what they are real good for though..not a big meat breed and not a diary cow. I am not real familar.
