What method did you use?
~CrazieMama~ wrote: Just curious is all.
~CrazieMama~ replied: I did not use anything. I was not trying to get pregnant with either one of my kids. I guess I am just fertile.
A&A'smommy replied: yeah me too, dh and i werent married yet....it was unplanned, also we had just gotten engaged .
CantWait replied: I picked other.....we used the "opps" method. Both pregnancies were unplanned.
mckayleesmom replied: We did the "were getting married in a couple weeks,,,,if it happens it happens" method.....We found out it happened about 5 days before we left to get married. But I had also had a miscairriage about 5 weeks earlier. After that we realized how much we really did want a family. Before we wanted to wait a couple years.
MomToMany replied: We used the "oops" method, too. None of my pregnancies were planned.
MommyToAshley replied: We were the same way... if it happens then it happens method.
aspenblue1 replied: It was unplanned. We decided if it happens it happens.
Jamison'smama replied: After several years of not using birth control then one year of actively trying to get pregnant, we tested my hormone levels--non existent so we used Clomid --so I checked fertility treatments.
amynicole21 replied: I used the ovulation predictor kits. Worked the first time!! I'll definitly be using those again for the next one.
booey2 replied: With Matthew we just decided to try and get pg and wouldn't a ya know it, it only took 1 month of trying. DH was kinda bummed thinking he would get more practicing in because for birthcontrol we use c**doms and he's not to fond of them. With Thomas it took us over 8months of trying to get pg because I was timing it all wrong even using temperature and charting. Silly me thought we had to stop bd'ing as soon as you O. Boy was I feeling foolish. Once we sorted that out I got pg right quick.
ediep replied: I was on bc pills for a long time, then we decided to stop the pills and let nature take its course. We were pg within 4 months.
coasterqueen replied: Well, I was on birth control and then several months before we decided to try I stopped taking them. We actually thought it would take more time to get pregnant, but we got lucky the first time. Yes, the first time! DH was very upset. He thought he would have several months of you know what all the time.
jdkjd replied: We tracked cervical mucus for Bailey-worked like a charm. Seems to be the easiest for the accuracy.
The peanut is more of an "oops."
Kaitlin'smom replied: she was deffinatly not planned, we were really not plannig on having kids. I am glad she supprised us.
so we were not tring at all, just a slip I guess
Maddie&EthansMom replied: A friend of mine who decided to stop trying gave me her Ovulation Kit and I used it. Got pg the month I used it. I had been charting temps the 2 months prior to that. I have an irregular cycle and I thought the OPK would help. It did!!
Mommieto2Girls replied: After 9 years we gave up and figured we weren't ment to have children. Than out of the blue I was pregnant.
DansMom replied: I was 37 and DH was 51, and we were about to get married. He suggested we stop using BC and see what happens. We both thought that it would take a while for us, being older, and that it might not happen at all, so we might as well get started. We didn't try to time things---in fact, we both were sort of avoiding the time that we thought I was ovulating. Nevertheless, we stopped using BC in December and we conceived in February! Now I realize how blessed we are to have conceived easily and carried a healthy baby to term, at our age.
jcc64 replied: Pretty much know when I'm ovulating, so we just had unprotected sex at that time, and were able to conceive within a month for all 3 kids.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I waited 3 days after my period stopped...then I made DH do the deed every second day for 2 1/2 weeks.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Well Jade was an oops. I love her dearly, but that is what she was. I had just had another miscarriage so we had decided to wait until after we left Hawaii. Well I lost the baby on the 27th of Nov. 2001 and conceived between Dec 11-13th 2001. We are very careful now with birth control because we seem to be very fertile.
jen replied: We didn't do a whole lot of planning. We tried all the time and in 10 months when we were starting to wonder if something was wrong !!!!!!!!! I was PREGNANT! I think God just shows you how perfect his timing is because we had just moved into our brand new house on the lake!!!
JENNY due 4/22/04 with Caleb or Madelyn or both LOL
dolfinrse replied: I used to take bc pills, but after our wedding we decided that if something happened then it happened. Well, AF was always very irregular so there was no way to time anything. Right before Zack was conceived, I had AF for about 3 weeks straight. I went to the gyn and he thought it might be polyps or cysts, so he wanted to do a laproscopy and d&c. We went and had that done and then he said that we might consider Clomid(Fertility pills), so we agreed, but he said to take a pg test first just in case. Come to find out that I was already pg and there was no need for fertility pills. So sometime between the d&c and the test we conceived, but we have no idea when.
youngmomofone replied: My daughter was an oops. I was 18, dh was 17 when she was conceived. I had her 6 wks after turning 19.
This pregnancy was very much planned
PrairieMom replied: This is an oooooooooooold post! what ever happened to all those people? So sad. I remember and miss a lot of them.
youngmomofone replied: Oops I didnt even realize that!
Cece00 replied: I never did anything.
I'm ridiculously fertile. I had 3 kids without trying @ all, and the last one was conceived while I was on birth control AND breastfeeding. My husband also had cancer and was sterile and amazingly got his fertility back.
We only tried for 1 of the kids, it took a little less than 4 months, but we didnt do anything other than DTD a lot.
moped replied: A hope and a prayer method! I don't know, just the calendar!
A&A'smommy replied: I know the feeling!!!
wcs40110 replied: I had a lot of fun reading it though. These kind of things are fun!!
