What kind of cleaner do you mop with?
luvmykids wrote: I can't stand the streaks on my floors but haven't found anything that doesn't streak unless I hand dry them and I have waaaay too much tile for that. Any suggestions?
boyohboyohboy replied: I love my mr clean magic reach, but i dont have tile. I think it smells clean, and scrubbs great. I hate my swiffer, it just doesnt clean.
lisar replied: I love my pinesol. Lavender scent and all. Thats my fav.
mom21kid2dogs replied: I only use a swiffer and have never had a streaking problem. I don't have anything like marble or travertine, though, which I would assume would be more prone to streaking.
luvmykids replied: I love my swiffer too but just have too much tile, I go through the stuff waaay too fast. It's not as bad on my quarry tile but my ceramic tile streaks like crazy.
cameragirl21 replied: i use mop and glo and swear by it...i had a housekeeper once who insisted on using pine sol and i ended up re-mopping after her because the floors did not look clean to me. with mop and glo you get a really nice shine.
coasterqueen replied: I use Scooba and it can only take a special clorox cleaner.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I use my Swiffer on our ceramic tile and I don't have a streaking problem. It may be the kind of tile I have though. I use the antibacterial cleanser on it, if that helps.
Twelve Volt Man replied: The cleaner I use has always worked well for me. She's 31 years old, about 5'4", and is beginning to have trouble getting into those hard to reach places.

Anyway I use Swiffer as well. When I need to actually mop I use Pine sol and water. Works wonderfully.
luvmykids replied: Your wife must have a very good sense of humor
mom21kid2dogs replied: You know, it DOES make a difference which cleaner you use with it. I got the multipurpose once because it was on sale and it streaked like crazy. I totally forgot about that 'til I read your post.
I hear ya about it being expensive. we have 6 rooms of tile & 4 rooms of hardwood. In our house it hardly gets a break!!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: White wine vinegara and warm water. Works, I swear.
redplaydoh replied: How much vinegar do you mix to the water? I've been wanting to try this on my tiles but didn't know what concentration to use.
Crystalina replied: This remind me of my Ti-Ti in Puerto Rico. I was there for a visit a couple of years ago and she said it was time to mop the floor (all tile by the way, the entire house) and the kids seemed to know the routine...they brought out cinderblocks from under the couch and hoisted the couch up on it and moved everything else into the diningroom and the next thing I know she's standing in the livingroom holdling the hose! She yells something (probably "turn on the hose" ) and she hosed down the dang floor! Swept it all into the street.
I was like and she looked at me and said, "so how do you do it in Ohio?" Sure as heck not like that.
Just get a hose.
sparkys2boys replied: LOL... ohhhh my.. I was picturing this and I was reading..lol!!! Can you imagine doing that!!!!
Crystalina replied: I witnessed it and I couldn't believe it.
I also woke up one night because there was a huge maniac of a man yelling at the house. I woke my Aunt up to tell her and she said to go let him in! Apparently it was a friend of my Uncles and they don't knock on the doors there. They stand on the street and yell at the house until someone comes out. In their defense though the houses are surrounded by gates and any visitor cannot get to your door to knock.
This is not the entire island but how her villiage is.
