What is this thing stuck to me
CantWait wrote: Well the last couple days Anthony will not take a nap, he's been eating about every hour, and if he does sleep, he's sleeping on me. He won't let me put him down and if he does it's very briefly. I love this little guy like crazy and I love cuddling with him as much as he loves to cuddle in me, but it's really hard, a lot harder then I thought to do this alone and still be able to spend time and make meals for my older ds and myself. Only 3 months and a week and a bit till dh gets home. Sorry I really just needed to vent and cry and someones shoulders. Being a military wife and moving all the time, there's no one here that I'm really close enough to, to talk about this with.
maliksmommy replied: I am so sorry you are having to go through this alone right now! I hope the next 3 months go by fastly. Are there things that Roberto can do to maybe help you out a bit more? Big Hugs to all of you
MomToJade&Jordan replied: It sounds to me like he might be going through a growth spurt. I remember when Jade would do that to me. There was no doing anything when she was like that. I myself am a military wife. My DH doesn't usually get deployed, but I know how you feel about the moving about. I hope that things get better for you and if you ever need to talk just let me know.
CantWait replied: Robbie is already a HUGE help. He gets things for me or the baby, and helps out around the house with what he can. You couldn't ask for a better kid.
maliksmommy replied: Sounds like you've got one great little boy there
ediep replied: AAWWW! That sucks!! Those growth spurts really take a toll on Mommy. I hope the next three months go quickly for you.
MommyToAshley replied: I remember a few days like that with Ashley. In fact, she is going through a growth spurt now.. at least I think so. SHe is eating a lot and nursing A LOT. But, it should be back to normal soon.
Hang in there... it gets easier!
<<HUGS>>
Jamison'smama replied: Hugs to you--I know those growth spurts are exhausting---do you ever use a sling for him? Saved me many times when I had to get things done--just put her in there--sinch it up and wear her most of the day--she would sleep so much longer in there and I could actually move around. Just a thought.
Hang in there
CantWait replied: No we don't have a sling, unfortunetly for the next month, money is little tight. I do have a snuggli though, and found that to be my lifesaver yesterday for the first time when we took the dog for a walk. Bye bye stroller.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I have an extra sling if you want it - it's denim! It's nice, I got it off E-bay when I was pg, and only wore it a few times, but then I didn,t need it anymore because I had to go back to work. Zach stayed with my grandmother during the day, and she had nothing to do but hold him, so it worked out until I put him in daycare!
Schnoogly replied: Oh I'm so sorry! I am planning on making some simple wrap slings to give as gifts if I get a chance...I'll send you one. They're so great, go over both shoulders and wrap tightly around the baby and then tie around your waist. Iain loves his. They are expensive to buy but soo easy to make!
Hopefully he'll get past this stage and not make it a permanent habit! I have BTDT all right!! Now that he's crawling it's a lot better, but we had a rough 7-8 months there!
supermom replied: Sorry, BTDT, my XH was on duty when our first was born!! Really sucked too - esp since I ended up with a C/Section - and no one to help. So, I can sympathize! But the slings/snuglis/baby bjorns work pretty good when they WON'T let you put them down at ALL!!!
Hugs to you and so sorry you have to go thru that. And glad Robbie is a big help, that's awesome! Guess when dad comes home, he gets a "special treat"?? I know I owe my oldest DD one for watching Anders while we were in the hospital....
