What is the going rate - from the tooth fairy?

JMO, I think it's way too much but my stepd got a dollar a tooth. Inflation, I guess!

MyLuvBugs replied: That's funny. I remember getting half dollars or 2 quarters for most of my teeth. Although one time I got a 2 dollar bill. I think that was the time that Dad was the tooth fairy instead of mom. Mom was a cheap skate fairy.lol

But I think you're going good. Stick with 50 cents to 1 dollar. Should be fine.

b&bsmom replied: That was my sisters suggestion after the first tooth. That means the weekend she lost 2 teeth I would have been out 10 bucks. I think she should be the fairy or at least the fairies bank!!!!!

they are getting $5 a tooth. partly because they are falling out sooooooooo far apart and partly because we lost a couple of teeth

MamaJAM replied: It's funny -- I remember getting a quater for each tooth. The same "tooth fairies" (my parents) now give my kids $5 per tooth!
MIL gives my kids $1 per tooth.

The 'tooth fairy' doesn't live in our house -- we don't give the kids anything.....I think the grandparents are giving them enough!

My sister got $5 once - I'm pretty sure the tooth fairy was a little drunk that night.
