What is the absolute - WORST

MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: thing your spouse ever gave you as a gift.

Aaron has this habit of giving me bath and body works gift certificates, never an actual gift. But this year's Mother's Day took the cake. I got a big fat NOTHING!! Not even a thank you or a card.

mckayleesmom replied: my husband is usually pretty good....but

My ex boyfriend was horrible.....One time I went to the store with him and he forgot his wallet...so I purchased his stuff for him and he was suppose to pay me back...For xmas I got a picture of us together in a frame that I...yes I paid for......he never paid me back.

Oh...and he did get me some other stuff too, but a couple months later we broke up..he found out about my new boyfriend (now dh) and came to my house to collect the stuff he gave me rolling_smile.gif

jenn3 replied: A bra from victoria secret. It was a C and im a A( blush.gif ) ohmy.gif And weve been married what 10 years tongue.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I don't think dh has ever gotten me anything truely awful, but if it is just about bad gifts when I was 12 my mom got my sister and me matching towels for our bathroom...but of course they weren't to use because they were for show in the front bathroom smile.gif

JP&KJMOM replied: Well, DH was great for the first couple of years. Jewerly on every occasion but one year at Christmas everything he bought me had to do with cooking. He finally admitted that he was at a loss for what to get and all the things I got were things HE would like to have in the kitchen (he cooks as much as I do). LOL Needless to say he seems to always ask my mom now! laugh.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: The worst gift my DH ever bought me was lingerie. It was really nice and tasteful, but I am normally a size large and was 6 months pregnant - and he bought a medium! His reasoning - the L & XL sizes "just looked so huge I couldn't imagine that they would actually fit you!" Gee, that really makes me feel good about my body! rolleyes.gif

mommytoconnor replied: Men are such idiots! rolling_smile.gif My dh usually does pretty good I guess. I always get at least a card or something. Most of the time he'll give me money.. which I'd rather have anyway.

P.S. FINALLY somebody that's a size A. I thought I was the only woman alive that was an A. laugh.gif Jenn, where do you buy your bras?? I can never find any A's. growl.gif

holley79 replied: My DH is also usually pretty good with gift buying. He bought me a work out video and paid up my weight watchers for a year!!!!! I had already lost 75 lbs. LOL

mom21kid2dogs replied: I guess it's not all about the presents . . .I honestly can't remember. Of course, it was almost 25 years ago . . .does that count? rolleyes.gif

He has always been a great gift giver. He gives me things I wouldn't ever dream of, but really want/need!! thumb.gif

Nathansmom replied: We always go shopping together before holidays or birthdays, and I pick out a few things, then he goes back to buy something, but I never know what.
This way, I will always like what I get, and it's always a surprise.

CantWait replied: DH is mostly pretty good with giving gifts, sometimes not a lot of thought goes into it though. The worst would have to be a couple years after we started living together, (we were poor as dirt), and got me like a $10-$20 watch for Christmas. I don't wear watches.

zdk753 replied: Gifts? You mean they are supposed to buy gifts too? I have been married to hubby for 8 yrs & have yet to receive a gift. Of course stupid me buys him something for every holiday.

ilovemybaby replied: One time he gave me this really ugly blue teddy bear. Trust me ... it was UGLY! And it was all hard too... not a cuddly one.
Another time he gave me a fruit bowl.

Other than that he's pretty good at choosing things he knows that I will love! The best thing he ever got was some of those fancy plates that you hang on the wall. They have cats on them. I love cats. smile.gif
